RE: Senn
I believe she might have been married to a man with the last name of Stout (Julia Unknown Stout, Senn, Ester(s)) Not sure of the correct spelling of Ester(s). I think in the 1900 census of Naylor Village, Missouri, she is listed with 3 children of the last name Stout, but is married to James Esters. That census also says she has only been married for 2 years. With her eldest child being about 9 yrs old in 1900, I am making a calculated guess that she was married to Mr. Stout first in abt 1888-1900. Married to Mr. Esters in 1898 and then to Mr. Senn in 1909. Still don't know her maiden name.

RE: Hester Bogan Martin
My dads family comes through the line of Rev John Martin then James Marion Martin then James Arthur Martin who is my dad's father. My dad is Arthur Lee and he is mentioned on p. 24 of the family book. My cousin Colleen is the gradndaughter of Mary Elizabeth Martin and will be the one I am going with next week to Randolph county. I am sure we will try to take some pictures and will get in touch with you to figure out where we can send them. By the way Colleen thinks her husbands family may be related to the Creek Indians that burned the Martin family home in 1836 (from the story on p. 6 in the book). Talk about a small world.

Martin Family
Thank you so much for posting the virtual Martin family cemetery. My husband's mother was a Murie Florine Martin, and her parents were Clarence Eugene Martin and Mary Lee Cowling Martin. His father was Robert Brown Martin and Geneva Frances Martin. I kept seeing all your wonderful old photos which I have several taken at the same place and time. It also helped to put faces to the info and names to the photos the family collected. Thank you, thank you. Maretta Wulfjen

Ashcraft/Mercer/Baker
Thanks so much for the additional information. Every little bit helps to complete the story of a person's life. Further information about Eula:
Born 13 July 1903 Arkansas City, Arkansas Co., AR; died 28 Nov. 1985 Warren, Bradley Co., AR; married Joseph Carl Mercer 10 Feb. 1919 Bradley Co., AR. She was the dau. of John Morten Ashcraft and Mary A. "Mollie" Roberts.

I found the marriage record for Eula and Joseph showing the marriage date 10 Feb. 1919; however, the record contained a discrepancy. It showed the marriage license date as 7 July 1919. I do not believe one waits until five months after marriage to obtain a marriage license.

Their son, Floyd Mercer, born ca. 1920, married Cecelia Richter of Pine Bluff, Ar on 30 October 1947 in Jefferson Co., AR. Cecelia was 25 yoa.
(Source: Arkansas, County Marriage Index, 1837-1957).

Keep up the good work!

RE: Leah Baker - Beth Eden Cemetery
According to Ancestry, Jacob's wives were Eva Margaret Kinard (1811-1854) with whom he had 11 children and Leah Kinard (1833-1889) with whom he had 10 children. (He was a prolific ole codger, wasn't he?) Bet they were sisters. Leah was a lot younger. I'll let you know if I hear back from Linda (my cousin) and I'll also try to get in touch with Lula Bell's grandson to see if he knows anything. I feel sure the Leah I found is the right one since it lists Callie Catherine Baker as her youngest child and the dates fit. I have all the names and birth dates (some death dates) if you want them. If so contact me at my e-mail address tmjjopes@bellsouth.net. It'll be easier to give the list that way. Good luck to you. Mary Joy

Leah Baker - Beth Eden Cemetery
After looking on Ancestry, I believe Leah Baker's maiden name was "Kinard." She was born in North Carolina and Jacob was born in Newberry County, South Carolina. I e-mailed my cousin who is a great-granddaughter of Callie Baker Dawkins to see if she or her mother know and if I hear differently from her, I'll let you know. My only connection with Callie is that my dad's brothers, Walker and Ed Wylie, married Callie's daughters, Lula Belle and Margie. Let me know if I can help you any way. I live in South Mississippi so am not too close to Winston County.

Son & Francis
When you write bio's please don't forget to include how instrumental they were in the founding of the "Christian Center" outreach facility that is part of the Pine Street Church of Christ were they were both long time members. Son was a highly respected elder of the congregation there until his death and Francis was just as strong in supporting the Ladies efforts there. I still have the obituaries that were run locally for both of them if you are interested. I occasionally work with a funeral director that is now in the old "Hill's Restaurant" building and recently a family came in wanting to know if they could get a Hill's famous breakfast with their service.

The Hill Family
I attended church with Mr. Son & Mrs. Francis for years, their grandson Michael started school with my oldest and we spent many birthdays with them. I have some great pictures that were made at the dedication of the Christian Center that Mr. Hill founded, do you mind if I locate and add them to their memorials?
