The descendants of the old settlers, those who cleared the land and first upturned the wild sod to the sun, should see that the doings of those early years are fittingly remembered and recorded. It was once remarked by a great writer that those who take no interest in the deeds of their ancestors are not likely to do anything worthy to be remembered by their descendants.
Please leave flowers or memorials on my memorials, I believe everyone deserves flowers, and I have a great family. Thank you in advance. A BIG thank you to those who send histories, death notices, obits and links to add to the memorials. They are wonderful additions.
Please read Find A Grave's Transfer Requirements before requesting a transfer "THE FIND A GRAVE GUIDELINES FOR TRANSFERRING MEMORIALS ARE: Spouses, Parents, Brothers and Sisters, Children, Grand-children, Grandparents, and Great-grandparents. For extended family members you can add Virtual Cemeteries as we have done.

Your tombstone stands among the rest; Neglected and alone. The name and date are chiseled out On polished, marble stone. It reaches out to all who care It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist You died and I was born. Yet each of us are cells of you In flesh, in blood, in bone. Our heart contracts and beat a pulse Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled One hundred years ago Spreads out among the ones you left Who would have loved you so.I wonder if you lived and loved,I wonder if you knew That someday I would find this spot, And come to visit you.

 | Henry and Jessie Banks Hi Barbara,
My name is Connie Banks-Smith. I have been researching my family for many years. I have been successful in most cases, however because of circumstances involving my family having to run from Alabama/Mississippi; I have found relatives all over the United States. I am wondering if the Henry and Jessie Banks are my family that was born in Conecuh Cty/Evergreen Ala. Henry's parents were William Banks and Annie Berry-Banks. Jessie's maiden name was Reed. Any information regarding the verification of this being a relative would be greatly appreciated. | | | Sheila Black
