I have been looking for my ancestors since about 1993. It has been a wonderful and educational hobby I enjoy.
Find A Grave has been/IS a great tool for all of us that are searching for family and friends.

While I am at cemeteries I will often take pictures of headstones --that have absolutely no connection to me. I will add these photos to Find A Grave memorial in hopes they will help anyone else who may be searching for that person. I am not an expert on anyone just because I have added a photo. Please feel free to add factual information that helps us honor and respect the dead.

If possible I am here to help. Good Luck!!

RE: Louisa Fleming
Louisa Fleming
Nancy M Dillon is my gggt grandmother. I have information that says her mother was a Fleming.
Can you tell me the connection of the Peter/Mary Fleming connection to John A/Isabella (Rogers) Dillon--not including Naoma Dillon marrying Samuel C Fleming. I am also looking for Peter/Mary's children. Also,do you know who's dau/wife Louisa Fleming is? I thank you for your help

I'm afraid my connection with the Flemings is through Louisa who was my ggrandfather's sister. So I can't help with your questions about the Flemings.

Louisa Williams was the daughter of
William T. Williams 1837-1874 and
Elizabeth Caroline McAffee 1837-1916 who were
Married 11 December 1856 Gasconade, Missouri

Their children: Mary A. Williams 1857-1941; my great grandfather Andrew Jackson Williams 1858-1896; Louisa Jane Williams 1861-1882 who was married to Samuel C. Fleming Jr. (1859 - 1914); and Francis Williams 1870-Deceased

I can tell you I have a deep regard for Samuel C. Fleming Jr. because of a letter he wrote in 1882 to his mother in law, Elizabeth Caroline Williams, after the passing of Louisa, only a few months after their son was born. It is broken-hearted and expresses the love they shared. He was a good man. I hope this answers a couple of your questions.

Selena
