I am often asked if I am related to the subjects of my memorials. Most of the time, I am not related. What I am, is committed to making each of my memorials a tribute to those who have gone before me. The life stories of those who made Marshall County what it is are my heroes. I hope that I have done them justice.

Please do not leave what constitutes an edit request with a flower attachment. I may not ever see it AND a floral offering is not the appropriate place to relay information. I am happy to honor edits sent through proper channels, but understand that I do look for documentation to support the request.

All of the information that appears on my memorials is available to everyone via on-line records. The use of obituaries is allowed per the Fair Use Doctrine. Additionally, facts, in and of themselves, are not protected by copyright laws. That being said, if you would like to have the memorial of a family member removed, just say the word. I am happy to comply. Not everyone's story has the ending we may hope for, and nothing is worse than the loss of a loved one. The message they leave us is to celebrate life while we have the opportunity. The practice of a cemetery burial, marking the grave with a headstone, and the leaving of flowers at a grave are all ways we honor the memory of a loved one. If you would like to manage a family member's memorial, I am happy to transfer. My only intention is to document and provide help to other people doing genealogy research that may not be able to find records on their own. I am always saddened to learn that a fellow Find-A-Graver has not honored the wishes of a family member. That simply should not happen. That photo volunteers have been referred to as "grave stalkers" is unfortunate.
