RE: Re: Ardentown Memorial Garden DE
Your message follows:
"RE: Re: Ardentown Memorial Garden DE
This cemetery isn't a little inaccurate, it has literally over a hundred incorrect entries. There are two separate cemeteries in our villages that have been mashed into one record. I will begin to work on the correction from my end. As a town officer for Ardentown, and as a third generation resident this is very important to me, as it is to our historic communities.

Thanks for your information."

Thank you for your reply.

Again, if you will provide the names of just a few memorial pages which are incorrectly attached to Ardentown Memorial Garden but which should be attached to Arden Memorial Garden (if that is the correct name), or any other cemetery for that matter, I will be happy to show you how to proceed.

Re: Ardentown Memorial Garden DE
Your message follows:
"Ardentown Memorial Garden DE
Could you please transfer ownership of this cemetery to me? I live in Ardentown and there are significant errors in the internment list. You have included many internments that are actually in the Arden Memorial Garden. I would very much like to clear this up."

Thank you for your suggestion (request).

Cemeteries on the FindAGrave site are not 'owned' and, therefore, cannot be transferred. It may be easier to think of them as simply 'containers' on the FindAGrave website to 'hold' the memorial pages.

If you believe that I, or anyone else, have, or has, entered one or more memorials in the incorrect cemetery, please provide the names of a few (say 5 or 6 names) of these memorials, with supporting documentation indicating the correct cemetery, just to get started and to get an idea of the scope of the 'problem'.

While I firmly believe that accuracy in these matters is a significant concern, and should be pursued, you also have to consider the practical aspects of your attempt to correct these issues.

Harry A Beeson (12003008)

It appears there is no grave marker for Harry Beeson. I went to the area given to me by the staff in the office and was told he'd be located in BLOCK 83 LOT 7 SPACE 4. I was only able to locate a marker for Mildred Beeson (BLOCK 83 LOT 7 SPACE 3) which indicates he should be right next to her but is unmarked.

I did go ahead and add the photos for Mildred Beeson (12003010).

Hope this helps.

Terri - You did everything perfectly EXCEPT one thing .... you need to log in to Find A Grave when you use the Edit tab to ensure your contributor is included in the message. I still had to track you down but it was a little easier. I know you're still learning the ropes and by using the Edit tab you'll help a lot of other folks you will be requesting transfers from. Just be sure to log in when you use it. Keep up the good work and good luck in your search for family!!

Not a problem. Please go to the memorial and click on the "Edit" tab at the top; then click on the first link, i.e., "Suggest a Correction, etc. ..." and then tell me what you want. When you do this, Find A Grave automatically sends me the memorial number you're interested in PLUS your contributor number. That way I don't have to look anything up and write it down. Thanks!!!

Hi Terri. I fulfilled the request to the cemetery that was on your request. Let's hope that it will move to Greenbush cemetery when you change it. If it doesn't let me know. I will keep the pics for a couple of weeks.

On famous records they don't allow the family links for some reason ... not sure why ... so I can't help either.
