RE: Captain Thomas Lofton
Thank you for your generous offer.

I would like management of the memorial ONLY because I can link the memorial of everyone he mentioned in his application. You cannot transfer the memorial to me, though. Once a memorial has been transferred, it cannot be transferred again.

That is no problem: you added the important part. This memorial is part of my Virtual Cemetery (you can find that online by typing it in your search line). The VC will not be recognized officially, but word will be spread re the existence. Perhaps by next year, I can print and bind the memorials and then donate the books to historical societies and library research rooms.

Thanks again,
Vonnie

RE: Rock Creek
I added the pictures on the site through lot 90 and I have photos through lot 100.

Are you farther than lot 92 now? Just let me know.

Thanks for all your work!

Re: DC death records
Thanks so much! That helps a lot. I would love to know why Ancestry has removed that source -- have been searching the forums without finding an answer. Keep on with your great work.

DC death records
How are you accessing these? I'm having the same problems as W. Warder -- Ancestry won't let me see them, although it used to.

RE: Rock Creek
Got pics today through Lot 100.

Your addition of the DC death records to the memorial is fantastic! For some reason my Ancestry account will not let me access that database. Grrrr... Gives me an error every time I try!

Thanks for all your work! And yeah - we'll just keep plugging along!

I love the stuff you send and will always gladly post, but could you add your source? That's helpful, as in death certificate, census records, cemetery records, etc. I like to link obituaries w memorial pages, per Find A Grave requirements, one must site the source of publication. Happy sleuthing.

RE: Rock Creek
I'll get another batch. Sorry I was held up finishing the lot at Rock Creek that had photo requests. I'm still at Lot 084!
