I am new to genealogy & ran across Find A Grave not long ago. I have already met distant cousins & have made wonderful new friends. I treasure researching the heritage of my family. I have had a bit of a head start on it because my Beloved Grandmother wrote her life story & published the book for her family when she turned 100 years of age. She went on to live to be almost 103. I thank each & every contributor who has fulfilled the requests I have made.|

I am working on my mothers family tree. James Frank Benton is connected to my mother through a daughter with his first wife Mary Elvira. Elizabeth married John Asbury Culpepper. Culpepper goes to Jones which goes to Saunders which is my grandfathers father and then of course my grandfather and my mother. The tree I found that has Jeremiah Benton as James' father has a woman named Charity Sicily Parker as his mother. You may be able to see what I have here

Hi! I saw your information listed on his page and I was hoping you could answer a question for me. I have him listed as my mothers 4th great grandfather and I was working on adding his parents but I have come across trees that have James' parents listed as Edmond Benton (1779-1846)and Nancy (1782-1855)and another tree has his parents listed as Jeremiah Benton (1751-1819) Charity Sicily Parker (1775-1870. I was wondering if you had any information on that. Thank you very much!

I will be glad to go back out to the cemetery and try to get the photo for you. I'm sorry to say that it is kind of hectic around here for me right now as real life is interfering with my hobby in a big way...plus it is too cold, at least for me, to be out in a cemetery right now. But as soon as things slow down and warm up I will head to Springer to get the photos.
Thanks for understanding and I promise to get back out there as soon as I can. Should you find someone else that will be quicker I would appreciate a heads up because Springer is about 45 miles from home. Thanks so much.
Sorry, I was supposed to let you know that the photo for Lula and Albert Barcroft's headstone was courtesy of http://teafor2.com
