"It seems to me that the earth may be borrowed but not bought. It may be used but not owned. It gives itself in response to love and tending.... But we are tenants and not possessors, lovers and not masters. The Planet belongs to the wind and the rain, to the sun and the seasons, to the cosmic secrecy of seed, and beyond all, to time."|
My mother passed away in 1999 and I was the recipient of boxes and boxes of old photographs and memorabilia from courageous departed ancestors who emigrated here and my interest in genealogy began. Now, with the help of Find A Grave, I have been able to locate many family members' graves. Thanks for helping fill in the blanks. And now that I have become a volunteer, I hope to pay it forward.

|Mary Bahl||RE: Bahl|
Hi Charlene: Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I've traced my ancestry back to Illinois, Wadsworth County, through the Delaney family. But I don't see anyone named David Bahl so far; my Bahl relatives came from Germany and Saratove Russia.

You're welcome. Glad I was able to fulfill your request. Bob

There's a Nancy Rand in my family tree, who married James Packard in Milton in 1807, and was a resident of Milton at that time. She would have been born about 1785. Do you know if there's any relation between her and these Rands?

Most welcome, thank you!! Blessings!
|Tamie Dehler||RE: Major Joseph Bowman|
I posted it. You say your 4th great grandfather served under him. Who was he? My 5X great grandfather, Captain Edward Worthington, was with Clark and Bowman on those campaigns. Worthington was also burned when Bowman was, but survived. Tamie

Charlene, can I put your account of him under the bio feature on his memorial? Tamie Dehler

I will be deleting the memorials of Joseph and Mariam Goodhue from Find a Grave. But do you know that you have them buried in the wrong cemetery ? They should be placed in George Hill Cemetery instead of Town Cemetery, as the photos that you have posted on their memorials confirm.

I've put both up side by side and I see many differences between the 2. I'm not sure how they got so many updated pieces of info without talking to each other. Normally I'd suggest deleting the newer version (tho I am surprised I didn't see it back in 2010, Since I did post both photos, but months apart).
Can you and Kevin each print both pages and decide who needs the ownership more?
(closer relative make all changes? then the other agree to delete when it is done?)
Your are welcome. He may very well be in the Old East Burying Ground as I don't think the cemetery records are all inclusive. I found one marker with four names and they weren't on the list the city gave me. It is a shame that this cemetery is in the condition it is in.

I don't suppose you have a good list for his children? On Ancestry I currently have more than 20 children, although I think there are several duplicates with bad dates and alternate spellings. My Patton line also has a couple of questionable entries as well, since I have a very long lived John Patton 1660-1767 ancestor and several who seem to have married the same women; Richard Patton 1451-1476 and 1481-1536 to Margery Brereton 1445-1539,Richard Patten 1317-1375 and 1291-1350 to Mary Dagenham 1295-1347, Richard Patten 1244-?, 1270-1310 to Lady Eyre 1244-1320.
Any information would be appreciated.
