27109901 - E. Margaret Hart
Hi Anna, I have an original copy of Margaret's obituary that we found in a scrapbook that was started by her Mother, Mary Jane Forsyth. After Mary Jane died another daughter, Bessie, kept the scrapbook going. After Bessie's death the scrapbook was held by my in-laws, Dean & Dema Forsyth. My husband and I received possession of this scrapbook after the death of Dema. What is the best way to add this obituary to Margaret's memorial? There are also several more obituaries for other Forsyth's buried in Burlington Cemetery that we would like to add. This book is just an amazing printed history of our family! It not only contains obituaries but wedding announcements, graduation notices, and birth announcements. Just let me know the easiest way to handle all of these. Thanks again for all your work with these memorials!! Pat Forsyth (48323600)

RE: transfers made
Anna, thanks so much for transfers. I submitted some changes for Rose Beasley Elliott (27109377) as she is the daughter of Tom & Grace Beasley. I would manage her memorial if you want to transfer.
Could you also transfer the following memorials to me: Bertie Forsyth 27110025; Rupert Forsyth 27110031; Forsyth infant 27109927; and Willard P. Forsyth 27109986.

Thanks again, I appreciate all your work in the Burlington Cemetery.

RE: transfers made
Hi Anna, thank you for the transfers. I have several more to ask of you. They are #27109357; 27109368; 27109807; 27109819. These are my husband's aunts & uncles. My mother-in-law helped to take care of Tom in his last years and both she and my husband said he was quite the character. Thanks for all your time and work on this site! Pat Forsyth (48323600)

transfers of family members
Hi Anna,
Thank you so much for doing so much work for this site! You have transferred several members already for me and I have more requests.

My husband and I have several original obituaries for quite a few of the Forsyth and Beasley family members buried in Burlington Cemetery. We would like to add their information plus photos.

These are the transfers I am requesting at this time:

James R. Forsyth (#27110042) is my husband's grandfather. James Richmond Forsyth (27110070) is his great grandfather. (I noticed that his great grandmother, Mary Jane Forsyth, was transferred to a third cousin once removed).

Also could you let me know if aunts and uncles of my husband can be transferred? We would just like to be able to connect all of them and add obits etc.

Again, thanks for all your work.

RE: Leonard Burris
Also, try looking in The History of Washington County, IA, an old book that is online (google it) might have a sketch of the Wash. County Leonard in it. Have you tried http://iagenweb.org/washington/
There is one for every county and you can leave queries about people too.
Found an obit for Emma there on Wash. Co. Site...

RE: Leonard Burris
Hi Anna,
Yes, this is confusing! From what I can tell, it looks like there were two different Leonard Burris', one in Louisa County and one in Washington County. Both born about the same year in OH too, also odd. It looks like they both were married to Emmas too, which is very strange, but when I looked at the children of each Leonard/Emma pair, they were different, so assuming they must be different Leonards. It looks like the Leonard who lived/died in Louisa County, the Letts one, is the one who was in the 9th cavalry, according to records on ancestry.com. I have the Riverside Washington Co. Leonard as being born in April of 1845, according to 1900 census. I haven't seen anything yet with his specific death month and day, so I would request a death certificate from the county, either Washington or Louisa, depending upon which Leonard is the one you're looking for. Maybe if you give my children names we can figure out which one you want? What were William and Leonard's parents names?

I removed the link to her husband. I cannot guarantee it will not be added back by the contributor who sent the correction.
