William N Clayton, Hi Anthony you posted on my message board that we are distant Clayton cousins, do you know who the father of William N Clayton is so that I may link him to the rest of the family, I have no other records before him on my Clayton Family any help you could give would be awesome.

Edith Shotwell Reed Clayton
She is also my 4th great grandmother. Do you have documentation that she is the daughter of William Reed (born in NC, fought in the American Revolution and died in Tennessee) and Violet Brown Reed? Do you know anything about Violet Reed?

I would really like any information you would share with me.

My line is through William Clayton, Josiah Clayton, and his daughter Zennie Clayton b 1881, d 1986.

Thanks,
Sandra Boyer

Thank you so much for fulfilling my photo requests for Ann and her husband, John. I really appreciate the time and effort spent in getting these photos for me. I especially appreciated the close-up shots and the full view.

Clayton Family bible
Hello Mr. Clayton

My name is Denise Peters and I am the registrar for the Edward Buncombe DAR Chapter here in Asheville, NC.

I have a applicant who is trying to join DAR through her William Clayton line.

We are having trouble finding the family bible for the Clayton family. My applicant line goes through Susannah Clayton daughter of William & Elizabeth Clayton and she married Job Smith.

Any help you can give us regarding this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Denise Peters Registrar

Hi Anthony, I am just now seeing your message to me from back in February, I apologize that I did not see it sooner. You said in your message that we are both related to Stephen
Clayton III I have been unable to find this name in search, is there a memorial set up for him? I have very little info on my Clayton relatives the only ones I know of are J. Carl Clayton 1902-1985 (my maternal grt granfather) and William N. Clayton 1868-1943 (my grt grt grandfather). if you have information linking these two gentlemen to your list I would be tickled to death to learn more as will my mother who knows very little about the family history.

RE: High Point Cemetery
We'll still be doing this in February. Meanwhile, would you like to look over all the listed interments in High Point and in Freeworship to see if there are any duplicate entries? Right now I'm posting some additional photos at High Point, which is actually Highpoint (spelling)... and then we'll start posting Freeworship.

Anthony, I noted you had photographed several stones at High Point Baptist Church, so took a peek at your profile, looks like you are in Myrtle Beach?
Would you be iterested in helping to inventory some of the Horry County cemeteries with me and Rich Ryals? We are both retired and go out during the week. Any possibilities for you there?

I have been working in Missouri for the past 2 years and returned home in mid March. However, I still work for IBM but now remote from my home.
anyway - I returned home while my wife was in the middle of a complete home remodeling project and have had to spend a lot of time on that, since the contract and his workers were not too good about cleaning up after themselves.
No need to respond to this note, just saying, I am only just now having time to work on my mail from March. and there is a LOT MORE from April, May, June, July, Aug. to go.

sorry for the delays.
