Since I was a little girl, my family has always enjoyed cemetery browsing. My wonderful father, Arthur Kelley, would take us to each grave, telling us stories about each occupant therein. He knew everyone. I have continued this hobby, as do my children. Perhaps it is an "Irish thing."
In September of 2001 I was privileged to "browse" the ultimate cemetery, Westminster Abbey, in London, England. Unfortunately, while in Paris, we were unable to reach Pere Lachaise, so I have enjoyed browsing here. I feel cemeteries are wonderful historical records and gifts from the past, allowing us to know a little of someone's life so remote from our own. They also afford a feeling of continuity of humankind, and can bring tears and laughter at the fate so uniquely theirs, too soon uniquely our own.

Hello. I wonder if you are Janice Kelley, daughter of Dorothy Kelley Hunt and twin sister of Lannis Stone? All of Texas. Trying to track my relatives. Would love to know. :)

RE: -Island Pond cemetery, Harwrch
Richard Gage-
do you have any dates involved- birth and death of him or any family members? I have pretty much completed the older section of Island Pond.

Posted a photo for Bernard W. Kelley in Little Rock. Thought you might like to know, as you had added a flower for him. Have a great week! ~Arkansas T~

RE: Ancient Cemetery in South Dennis
ok as I suspected you have them in the incorrect cemetery- where you have them now is behind the Town Hall. You want to move both of them to the Dennis Village Cemetery which is next to the Union Chrurch on rt 6A. unless of course they are in the South Dennis Congregational Church cemetery. The problem in this area is that local people have certain names for the cemeteries that do not agree with the real name!

Take care

Ancient Cemetery in South Dennis
Hello Janice- I have taken pictures of most of the stones in this cemetery and haven't come across any newer stones like you have posted for your Mom. What area of the cemetery are they in?
