Moving
I'll be moving near you in the Torresdale section in Philly near Red Lion Road. Is that near you? I'm going by the Holmesburg train station where you must be around. I'll be making the move sometime late August.

RE: Thank you
Hi Joyce,

It was an honor for me to stop by and leave a flower for your loved ones. Reading about your loved ones and paying respect to them is why we are all here doing what we do. :-)

My dad died a little over a year ago. Most days I am ok, but for some reason, today was not one of those days. When I saw the flower you left for him, I felt better. Thank you so much for brightening my day.

(((HUGS)))back to you!

Jeannie

RE: Evelyn
Hi Joyce,
I found her through an article about Elmer, and the firefighter memorial that the community set up a few years ago. It seems that Evelyn and her other daughter moved to Texas after living in NJ. I will be happy to transfer Evelyn to you if you would like. You've done such great work with the Clothier and Della Penna families. Just let me know. :)

The beautiful angel token
you left on my brother's memorial site is very touching for me, because, I have undefined feelings for my brother who died as a baby before I was born. Similar to my Aunt Margaret who died just before I was born. That's a lot of family being stopped for me. Anyway, thank you so much for that beautiful token, it looks like a custom one you made yourself. It obviously is. Thank you Joyce.

The Della Penna gravestone
Joyce: Here's a suggestion for you. I know that Resurrection Cemetery is pretty big. I don't remember how many burials are already in there, but you might be able to go to the office of the cemetery and ask if they'll provide you with the information. Look up their website. Maybe you can get information on there. Or you may have to get the info. from the Archdiocese(?) of Philadelphia. It may cost you a small fee. If you find out where it is, perhaps you can take a photo of it and post it on the memorial site.
One of my nephews is laid to rest up there. It's a beautifully kept cemetery.

I'm sorry for the loss of your child. I don't imagine the pain ever really goes away.

Take care.

One day all of the Della Penna family will be reunited in Heaven.
Take care.

DOLORES DELLA PENNA
Hi Joyce,
I just wanted to thank you for bringing Dolores and her story back into the forefront. She was a beautiful young woman with her whole life ahead of her, and she deserves to be remembered.

Blessings to you and your family,
Debbie

Ralph Della Penna's memorial
Hi Joyce: I'm glad that you'll be able to enter more information on Mr. Della Penna. I lived in Tacony near Torresdale Ave. and Unruh Street when this horrible murder took place. I don't think I'll have forget it. I didn't realize that Mrs. DellaPenna is still living. I feel so sorry for her and her family.
I just never go why NOBODY contacted the police when they saw Dolores being dragged into a car especially with her screaming.
I've heard through the years that it may have been a case of mistaken identity and other stories too.
She and her father are buried in the same cemetery in which my nephew is buried.
What a tragedy.

Joan
