|Virginia Brown||RE: Reynard Waggoner|
That's amazing. Good research. Thanks for the offer, but was able to find his death record after you told me his full name. They must have called him Reynard, because of his father's name, Jeremiah "Jerry." Will see if I can find a copy of his obit. If so will transcribe it for you.

thank you for linking Walter Brooks
Thank you, Joylen, for the transfers and thank you for your patience with my detective work.
|Pat Dawson||Linking the Potters|
Thank you so much for linking Brennie Bell Potter Crow and George Young Potter to their parents. It is good to see all the family members listed together. Thank you also for the additional note about Brennie Bell. I am looking for the correct information for Brennie Bell. Will get back with you when I find it.

May I have permission to add his grave photo the FamilySearch program
thank you for adding it to his memorial.
|Nathan Haines||Reuben Lloyd McClatchey|
What makes you think that this Reuben Lloyd McClatchey is in Willamette National Cemetery? He is not in the VA records data base. Unless his name is grossly misspelled I cannot find any entry for him in this cemetery. I have tried every spelling I can think of and can't find him that way. Sometimes someone will get the "brilliant idea" to put a space between the Mc and the rest of the name and I can't find him that way either nor as Mac.
The one and only McClatchey in Willamette National is a Mary McClatchey who was an infant who died the same day she was born in 1967, infant daughter of Ben McClatchey
I cannot find an obit for this Reuben. Did you find anything like that? Even obits and funeral notices are wrong sometimes. It goes into the paper that someone will be buried somewhere and then the family decides to have them buried elsewhere.
One guess would be that he was buried across the street in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.
Some people get cremated and have their ashes scattered somewhere.
|Don R Haynes||RE: Gillis Sterling Carmon|
Thanks, I have the death certificate. The obit states Highland. My question is, where is the military marker. I may need to go back to Highland to see if it buried.
|Don R Haynes||Gillis Sterling Carmon|
There is a memorial for Gillis Sterling Carmon in Hamlin Memorial Cemetery with a grave photo.
We also have a memorial for him in Highland in Stamford with a different grave stone photo.
The photo in Hamlin has grass that does not look like Highland. I have just looked at his grave site in Stamford and found only one marker.
Do you have any record that he is in Hamlin??
I am going to check with the Funeral Home to see if he was moved or if the second marker has gotten burried at Highland.

I was very happy to claim your photo request for Jerome Jay Toorans, as I
had never actually been to the Ocotillo /Goodyear Cemetery, and it is very near
my house. After a little investigating on the internet, I went this morning,
and spent quite some time out there. I am sad to say I could not find his exact
grave site. I do not know if you are aware or not, but the cemetery is not
maintained. It is now surrounded by a new housing tract and they have built a
brick wall all around it. The markers are all in very bad shape, and over the
years, different people and organizations have tried to clear weeds, and
preserve some of the graves, but it is unfortunately quite a mess. (Google the
cemetery name and you will see) However, I did take many photos, concentrating
on the ones which have any visible names and would be happy to send some to you,
but did not see any with the name Toorans. If you knew the location of his site,
I would be glad to go back and take photos of a certain area for you. I wonder
if there is a plot map in existence?
I do not know how to explain this on findagrave. Let me know if you would
like me to send you photos, or if there is anything else I can do to help....
