I live in Missoula, MT and have been researching my family for about a year now. I decided to get involved because I have found such valuable info on this web site, I would like to be of help to others who are interested in finding out about their family history.|
Any photos I have taken may be used for your family sites and information.

|Bonny Palmer||Fred R. Markham|
Fred Markham is my great-great grandfather.
Just curious about the photo and the person who posted it. What is your relationship to Fred Markham, and how did you come across the image?
The young boy in the photo would be my great-grandfather, Winfield Scott Markham.
I have visited these graves since I was a child, since my mother lived a couple of blocks away.

Unfortunately, I'm only visiting this area and I don't have time to contact the people needed in order to visit the graveyard to take photos. Perhaps next time I'm in Granbury, I will have time to contact the land owners and go out there if no one else has been able to get the photos.

Using the any other suggestion is only for if you want obituary added or other items.
I always add any Bryant that I find. My grandmother was a Bryant from Mississippi. I am happy to transfer William to you. Somewhere down the line, many years ago, we might be kin. I'd like to be of help to anyone that I can.

Actually Marystown isn't really in Cleburne. It's closer to Burleson, if your familiar with the cities in Johnson County. The City of Cleburne maintains four cemeteries:
1. Cleburne Memorial Cemetery
2. Rosehill Cemetery - across the street from CMC
3. Greenlawn - adjacent to Rosehill
4. Chambers - adjacent to Greenlawn (african-american cemetery)
I have a copy of the burial records through 2000, for both CMC and Rosehill. I did not see his name listed in either one. There is a fifth (privately owned) cemetery in Cleburne. It is called Greenacres. I have found a listing online of all burials through 2008 if I remember correctly. I searched but did not find his name in there either.
You can call the Cleburne Cemetery office to see if he might be buried in Greelawn or Chambers. There phone number is: 817-645-0954
They have always been very nice to deal with. You might as well have then double check Rosehill and Cleburne Memorial while you have them on the phone. Their hours are M-F 10:00 - 5:00 CST. They are closed for lunch from 1:00 - 2:00
