You've put in request(s) at Calvary in Cleveland. Several of us are working to clear the more than 730 requests. With 400,000 burials and 300 acres, if you could please obtain plot information AND a plot map one of us will be more likely to be able to fill the request, as the office will only give out a little information to each person. The office phone number is (216) 641-7575. On my page I have the plot maps listed that we already have.
You can try to tell them you'll be visiting when they're closed, etc. So far everyone who's called has been successful in having a map mailed. If you get one let me know and I'll give you my e-mail address. With thousands of graves per section a plot map would be VERY helpful. Without plot information it's basically impossible.

|James Farley||Grave of Danny Palmer|
My name is James Farley. While looking around Findagrave I came across Dannys Grave. Although I am not a relative I have memories of a strong young man picking me up and tossing me in the air and catching me as I came down. I would laugh and scream and I must have been three or four years old. This was in Lake Placid, New York, and the place was his aunt Jennie Wilkins home on Sentinel Road. My mother was a friend of Aunt Jennie and when she was on the way to the store, pulling me in my wagon, she would often stop to chat.
Many years went by and I suddenly, sometime in my teen years, remembered this occurance. When I asked my motherr who the man was she told me it was Danny and he had been killed in the war.
It wasn't until recently, through the miracle of the internet, that I was able to learn more about this American Hero. I did this through a website 'Northern New York Historical Newspapers." A map appears and one clicks on Essex County. When the newspapers come up press on Lake Placid News. When his name is entered persue the different articles. His wife was presented with the bronze star for his heroic actions in saving some of his men.
Thank you so much for providing me with a chance to see his stone. I am 72 now with poor vision and I certinly would never get to the gravesite. If you wish to contac me I can be reached at 610-285-2699 Thanks again
Jim Farley Fogelsville, Pa.
I uploaded 2 pictures for you yesterday, one for Patrick Cain and the only other Cain around him, Bonnie Cain

|Marni Turnbull Rose||Luise Schlientz / Louisa Schlitnz|
Since you have not responded to my query (below), I am going to close out your photo request for Luise/Louisa.
If you find additional information which will help locate her headstone, please resubmit the request with the information and a volunteer will be happy to search for her headstone.
|Patrick Egan||RE: North Elba Cemetery|
Tracy, forgive me if I already emailed you this info. Sometimes I forget to log in my messages and I lose track of what I sent to whom. On Oct. 5 I was at North Elba Cem. getting photos for another request. I did take note of the following names under various Sears headstones:
Rowland Sears (1917-1979) & wife Aileen (1917-1993)
Carlton Sears [did not copy dates]
June Sears [did not copy dates]
Is any of this helpful?
|Pam||Sgt Mathew Caruso|
I have added the father but until the change/correction is made for Harriet Caruso, I won't add her. It is too confusing for someone who doesn't know what's going on.

Hi Tracy..I do remember at least one other Sears gravestone in N. Elba Cemetery. Next time out there (maybe Thurs. depending on weather..it's been raining a lot lately) I'll check it out. Would family be located in any other cemetery in this area? I visit about a half dozen with some regularity. Let me know if I can help. Where are you located? Pat
|Marni Turnbull Rose||Luise Schlientz|
I claimed your request for a picture of Luise's headstone in Greenwood Cemetery. Luise is not listed in the Grand Rapids City cemeteries database so I checked the other Schlientz's listed in Greenwood but could not find a headstone.
I next went to the Grand Rapids Public library because they have the records on film. I found her but she is listed as Louisa Schlintz with the date of death as 10-28-1892. Unfortunately the handwritten records do not show a plot or lot for burial.
You mention that she is the wife of Johannes. Is he buried at Greenwood? (He is not listed in the GR City cemeteries database). If he is buried at Greenwood, I can check the Library films if you have a YEAR of DEATH.

I found and downloaded the phtots, did it work?

|Kat||Mount Saint Peter requests|
this is a very large cemetery, with mausoleums. You need an alpha-numeric section and a plot number to be able to find someone. Kevin the manager is very nice and will give family the information.
