Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a 'farm girl' who grew up and still live in Iowa.

I am trying to leave a legacy on Find a Grave for my children and grandchildren, and for others as well, by making family stories and links.

I found my great grandmother's headstone on Find a Grave quite by accident and have been hooked on this site ever since.

I enjoy helping others find relatives' and friends' resting places. I have posted many memorials and photos from various cemeteries so others can gather data.

I create memorials with dignity and respect for those who have passed. I will remove a memorial if it is too sensitive for you, and I will remove photos you do not want on a memorial.

I am not interested in amassing large numbers of memorials. I am interested in contributing data and connecting family members.

Forgive me for not yet having all burial locations takes time to research. Also, some mortuaries do not list burial or disposition details in their obituaries now, so there exists some unknowns.

I do transfer memorials if you have information to add, unless it is for my relative.

I often try to add information and family links by researching a family. This takes time, so some memorials I've created are not done.

Please let me know if there is an error so it can be corrected. I want to have true and appropriate information.

I usually make edit requests the same day. I appreciate knowing about added posts to my memorials such as photos or obituary clippings that would help me link family members.

I am happy to share photos with you to use in your family albums. Contact me using the edit and SAC tab on any of my memorials. I do not post my email address.

I have exhausted my photo request, so I will wait for your return. I know about winters in Iowa. I was born there and still have family members in the western part of the state.

Holscher, Squire, Bonk's
You sent me a message asking about the family. I can answer those questions. Unfortunately you did not send me a valid e-mail or contact number. I work as a public publisher. I do not provide my personal contact information publicly (i.e. my profile page). I would be happy to sort your questions out for you. I do know about uncle William as well. I need at least an e-mail to reply to with and I will give you my phone number. I am in the middle of a move. The books on the Holscher's and such are not packed yet. They will not be packed until Friday. So, if you can get back to me soon, I would be happy to help.

RE: Lenora Goforth Burnell - 102085630
I'm relate to Lenora and her husband thru their son, Frank Mead Burnell, who is the husband of my 3rd cousin 1 x removed. I rechecked Ancestry and found 6 trees that state her name as Elma; 4 Elinor. Her Washington State Death Record state Lenora Elma Burnell.

If, you want to transfer Lenora and Hiram to me for maintaining. That would be OK.

George A Jenkins
Hi, The George Jenkins in the 1910 census can not be the same one in the 1900 census for two reasons:
1. The gravestone says he died in 1904
2 Not only is the age wrong but in 1900 his parents were born in Pennsylvania and Illinois and in the 1910 census they were both born in Ohio. So they have to be two different people... but Sylvia and Orville do appear to be the same people and it is the same town.... Any possibility that she married one of his cousins with the same name???

Hi, again!
After all the work we did together in Lawler, it's nice to see your "smiling face" over in Greene!
Thanks for all the help getting the Maxson information added. I'm still hunting for the burial information for George Maxson's wife so we can get all those children linked to their mother. I have a feeling she must be nearby but just haven't had luck figuring it out yet.
Keep up the good work.
Here's to teamwork!

Marilynn, you are awesome. During the process of settling my dad's estate I stumble across this site. I was looking for Scott's son. I did find him, his name is Jeff. The information you post is spot on and so helpful. Where did you ever find those pictures? Until I can figure out how to contact you on a more personal level, I'll just say, I'm "Hooked on Marilynn".

Butler Center Cemetery

I realize I need to send you a huge thank you. I was delving further into the Bohner line on Find a Grave. Multiple memorials you created with photos are all my relatives at Butler Center. It has done wonders for my family research especially since Mel and my grandmother passed. The other relatives don't know much about the family. One photo in particular shows three rows and most of the stones in those rows are my relatives, at least 15 if not more. You have helped me in so many ways by taking these photos. Thank you so much.

Lizzie Knight Mallo
If you had not posted her memorial I would still be wondering what happened to my 2x grandfather's 4th wife. The photo of her that I uploaded came into my possession 4 days ago. With just the information on the back I was able to find her in Clarksville and then back track her to Alonzo Brainerd Patterson. So in one evening I was able to put the rest of her life in Alonzo Moody Bailey's story. Her marriage license to Mr. Mallo was a gold mine.
