I was born in St. Louis, but my parents moved to Cape Girardeau, Missouri when I was two days old and then to Graves County Kentucky when I was 9 months old.(My parents lived and worked at Paradise Friendly Home from 1966-1969) I now live in Dexter, Missouri.|
I am the oldest son of the comedian Dennis Crutchfield and Margaret Douthitt (now Gilbert) and have one brother, David, who lives in Lexington,Kentucky where he is employed at Lexmark.
In April of 2000, I became the youngest elected Alderman in Dexter, Missouri and the second youngest Alderman to ever sit on the Council. (the youngest was appointed, not elected) I also became the first Alderman to be of Native American Descent(I'm 1/8 Cherokee) the first to have a wife of Hispanic descent, and the first elected Republican from my Ward. I was reelected on April 2nd, 2002. I lost in 2004, but was elected again in 2006.
I have been interested in cemeteries since I was a kid and it always bothered my parents who called it a "morbid hobby". It has paid off now, since cemeteries have helped my knowledge of History. Now when I visit a city and find out that they have a cemetery (or cemteries) with famous graves, I go out of my way to see them (and get pictures for Find-a-grave if they are not already posted). I am a cashier at the Wal-Mart in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
I am married to the former Tracy Randel (she was adopted when she was nine years old. Her birth father was Puerto Rican and her mother was of German descent), who, sadly, was in an accident in August and has been in a coma since then. I have one step-son, Darrin. No transfer requests please. I've run into too many problems with them.

I was not able to find the former governor at Glendale. I asked at the office and they weren't able to find him either. Can you tell me where he is buried at that cemetery so that I can get an up to date photo?
|Shirley Wadell||Will Grant's spouse|
You mentioned also that Will Grant was your great grandmother's 1st husband and she was the sister to Walter Pritchard Sr. Walter had several sisters. Which sister married Will Grant? All these individuals are in my Colley tree related in some way.
Thanks, Shirley :)
|Shirley Wadell||Lennie Mae (Shelton) Pritchard|
Thank you, Tim, for the information. I now know how she is related to the Pritchard family. I have the following Pritchard family members buried in Alexander Cemetery:
John Wesley Pritchard b.Apr 25, 1856 d. Mar 10, 1930 s/o James Washington Pritchard & Joannah Ivy
Dora (Bridges) his wife b.Oct 20, 1861 d. Dec 3, 1944 d/o James C. Bridges & Mary Calhoun
Effie Dean (Pritchard) Alexander their daughter b.Mar 1, 1882 d. July 25, 1983
Lennie Mae (Shelton) Pritchard w/o Aaron Pritchard b.Jan 31, 1905 d. Mar 24, 1937 d/o James Shelton & Cueanna 'Cue' West
Walter Pritchard Jr. b. July 18, 1925 d. Oct 3, 1926 s/o Walter Edd Pritchard Sr. & Zettie Mae (McClain)
Lennie Mae (Shelton) Pritchard is listed as Lennie Mae on her tombstone, however, you had her as Tennie. Is that her correct name? Tennie is a nickname for Tennessee.
Willie A. Grant b. July 27, 1890 d. Jan 5, 1916 s/o Thomas Elbert Grant & Effie D. Hicks.
Does this seem right to you? Again, thank you so much!!
|Shirley Wadell||Walter Edd Pritchard|
I'm updating the Alexander Cemetery in Graves, KY and came across Walter Pritchard Jr. b. July 18, 1925 d. Oct 3, 1926. Per his death record he died at 1y2m15ds cause enters colitis whooping cough. His parents, as stated on this document, were Walter Pritchard & Jettie McClain. Can you tell me if this person is the son of Walter Edd Pritchard - and if so - was his mother's name Zettie Mae McClain b. Oct 3, 1905 d. Sep 3, 1937. In this same cemetery there is buried Lennie Mae Pritchard b. Jan 31, 1905 d. Mar 24, 1937. Can you tell me if this person was married to Walter or is related in any way? Just trying to have accurate information for this burial listing.
Thanks, Shirley :)

Thank you for trying! I appreciate your response. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Would you mind removing the photo of the cemetery on my brother's obituary? The person who wrote the obituary, mistakenly wrote that he was buried. He was actually cremated. I do appreciate your help.
I found the bio on Cleo Wright while pursuing a photo request by another Findagrave member. I appreciate the info on Mr. Wright and thank you.
I hope to seek out the grave but cannot guarantee it can be found. The segregated section for African Americans is not well marked and is really only known to exist by word of mouth.
FYI - the annual meeting of Carpenter Cemetery Association is scheduled for 10am, December 7, 2013, at the Vanduser City Hall. come if you are able.
also, please check out our Facebook page if you can. We are trying to expand the exposure of the cemetery to the public in order to get support for a perpetual maintenance fund.
thank you - questions? call the secretary at 573-820-7936
Sincerely, Donna Moreira, a director at the Carpenter Cemetery Association
My sincere apologies, hope things go well. I will look him up, thanks for all your help.
Hi, it's me again. It looks like Rogers father and my husbands grandfather are brothers. I am assuming Rogers parents are Chester/Margaret. My husbands grandparents were Lacey/Jessie. The common link is Lacey & Chester's parents, George/Aria Belle. They just branch off after that.
I would like to know if Roger wouldn't mind helping me out on some ancestry questions. I have some missing links in the Hubbard line. One in particular is George's fathers name and his wife's name. Your help would be greatly appreciated. My email is below. Have him put Hubbard ancestors in the subject line so it doesn't get accidently deleted.
So you actually know the Hubbards there? Could you please tell me who might be down there? George Hubbard would have been my husbands great grandfather. I am always looking for more relatives. One of George's sons, Lacey, would be his grandfather. Thanks for any help you may be able to give me.
