Thank you for following FindAGrave procedures.
Contributor Connie posted this. I thought it was such a great idea I posted it to my page! Thanks, Connie!
Find a Grave has implemented a new way to submit Edits! Unfortunately, there are far too many members for Find a Grave to notify everyone via email, so it's up to us to get the word out. If every member posts this message (or similar) in their profile, hopefully we can help spread the word.
To suggest a correction (SAC) click on the edit tab of the memorial that needs to be corrected. Then click on the link which best describes where your edit should occur. Enter your correction, when you're done, click submit edit. Your request will be sent to the manager of the memorial and will appear in the managers' profile under the Edits tab.
Managers will no longer receive emails. They must go directly to their profile page and click on the Edits tab. Managers can approve, deny or ignore, suggested corrections. It's quick and easy!
Requesting a transfer other corrections are still handled the same way. Click on "suggest any other correction or addition," type your message and press "send this message." The manager of the memorial will receive an email.
Please ask permission before posting my personal family photographs, photographs I have taken of grave stones or biographical material I have written from my memorial pages on this site to Ancestry.com or any other website or personal webpages.
Please see FindAGrave Frequently Asked questions for more information:
How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?
First, Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.
Many thanks to everyone who has contributed information and photos for my memorials. I usually link to the individual contributor using HTML code. If this is unacceptable to you just let me know you prefer to remain anonymous.

|Shamrocks||Elizabeth Marie Sladen Morris|
I submitted an edit for her dates and places, as I have the death certificate. I am trying to figure out where the "Morris" came from. The death certificate says "Elizabeth M Sladen" and that she was never married. The notes in our files say that the stone says "Elizabeth Morris" (I haven't gone out to look at it) and all the other paperwork I've found simply says "Elizabeth M".
Is it possible that her middle name was Morris and not Marie?
Interesting bit of info: she enlisted and served in the Women's Army Corps from 1944-1946.

Me again...sorry to be a bother. As she's quite new to this site, Carol could not find your Thomas Leas memorial so I did my best to guide her there. I'm not sure if you sent her the FAQ link via email, but you may want to leave her a public message so she knows you sent the link.

Thank you for taking your time in answering my question. I wasn't sure if there was another Margaret Thompson and the pic was incorrect or just wrong parents linked.

I have a picture for Margaret Thompson. Her father is Captain Alexander Thompson (#125147624). It's an extremely old marker so I could not read any dates to enter into the search. I was able to see her father and mother (Amelia Dehart Thompson). I'm not finding a memorial for her. Do you by chance know if she has one? I found another Margaret Thompson #41750062, but she's linked up to completely different parents.

I have a picture of Katherine Alexander Smith's grave marker in the West Point Cemetery. Her father is William Ruthven Smith (#133220714), but there's no link for her as a child.

The other day when I took a picture per your request for Thomas, that same day I also had another request for the same person. That memorial is #151347221. I got a thank you and short story from a sweet lady who informed me that it was her fathers grandfather. I just sent her a reply telling her that she should check out your memorial for Thomas as it has family links to it.

|GreenerPastures||RE: Toshi Tsukuno|
It is your call. The name is spelled Toshio in:
His wife's obit on her memorial page.
In the U.S., Final Accountability Rosters of Evacuees at Relocation Centers, 1942-1946
Japanese Americans Relocated During World War II
And also a school yearbook with a photo of him.
I would suggest putting in a request for a photo of his and his wife's headstone marker as he passed much earlier than her and she would have been in charge of the spelling for his marker.

Love those photos - thanks so much!
