I am honored to create memorials for our WW2, Korean, and Vietnam war dead.

Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz:
"They fought together as brothers in arms; they died together and now they sleep side by side...To them, we have a solemn obligation the obligation to ensure that their sacrifice will help make this a better and safer world in which to live."

In 2013 I completed a five year project traveling to Hawaii annually from the mainland to photograph headstones for all of our WW2 dead at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) in Honolulu. I have added over 10,000 photos to memorials at the cemetery. Prior to 2008, few of the memorials had a headstone photo.

John S Corfield
Hi Jeff
Are you related to John Corfield who died in 1944
as a POW during WWII? I'm hoping to find a photo of him, can you help?
Thank you,
Stephanie

RE: Thank you
You're very welcome. Glad you like them. I've been having trouble with long running script on this site so I just now finished uploading photos for his brother and parents.

Thanks for the info, Jeff. I didn't know Ancestry had U.S. Headstone data. Regards, Craig

William Smith
There were three separate William Smith's who have the same death date (Jul. 21, 1944), are buried at the Punchbowl Cemetery, and were in the 9th Marines 3rd Marine Division. Understandably, you have added headstone photos for two of them to the third one - William A Ne Smith (# 71949461).

Please move the photos for PFC William Arthur Smith and CPT William Guy Smith to Find A Grave Memorial# 168905438 and 168905704 respectively. Thanks.

You posted an Application for a Headstone on the following memorial as a Marker Icon instead of what it should be: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=Madory&GSiman=1&GScid=83429&GRid=132672142&

I have uploaded an actual marker photo but would not have done so if I hadn't double checked the memorial and found there was no marker photo. If you could remove your marker icon document and repost it as the type of icon it should be it would indicate a document and a marker icon on this memorial.

Re - PFC Raymond J Miskoviak
Jeff,
I was very pleased to see the document you added to Raymond Miskoviak's page, the application for a headstone, as it contained the company that he was in with the 61st Armored Infantry Battalion. I'd be curious to know how you obtained it as I am currently in contact with Mr. Miskoviak's great nephew who has been attempting to find more information about his uncle. Thanks for your work on Find-A-Grave. Regards, Craig.

Corrected Headstone #3767584
Jeff, would you please delete the photo of the headstone you put on PFC. Walter Higbe Adams - memorial #3767584? I put the new photo of the headstone of my Great Uncleon his memorial. His middle name was misspelled and now the corrected name and stone has replaced the old one. I put in a Edit Name on the site for Pennsylvania Lady to correct it. Thank you & if you have any questions, just shout.

Kubichs at Mt Carmel
I have posted the picture for Louis Kubich. I forgot to take the distance shot but will be back at Mt Carmel in a few weeks and will get it then. Louis is buried next to his brother Alvin B. Kubich who also died in World War II. I will make a memorial for him and transfer it to you.
