I have been doing my genealogy now, for over 20 years.. the chase is almost as much fun as finding those elusive relatives. I am always looking for new cousins.. |
I do this for fun and to help others in their quests as people have helped me.
If I accept your photo request, please be patient. I go to the cemetery more than once to get the best possible picture with the best possible lighting. Sometimes this means I use the entire two weeks allotted to me as I work fulltime and weekends are best to get the lighting that will make the stones the most readable.
When doing a photo request, I will always check the area for more members of the family or take the others in the plot and post those as well. If you want a high-resolution image, I keep the photo, so please let me know.
I do carry tools to clean around the stones, trim grass and sweep away dead grass, etc. I know what kind of picture I would like to have, and do my best to get the same for you. Some of my earlier attempts are not as clear, so if it is local, I can certainly retake them.
Use of my pictures (unaltered) for your family trees, both personal and on Ancestry is certainly acceptable. All I ask is that you give credit where credit is due and not claim them for your own. Please note where you got them from and leave my watermark on them. If you want to use them in a family book, please ask.
TRANSFERS: I will gladly transfer ownership of any memorial that is not family, if you kindly follow the process. I do not feel that you have to be a close relative to care about putting information on the memorials.
Please send any updates through the "suggest a correction or provide additional information" link on the memorial.
Get a ladder and get over it!

|Rolene Eichman Kiesling||Clara and Nathalie Ehrlich|
They are first cousins to my father; so they are my first cousins once removed.

Thank you. Permission yes, of course. Carl

We have now linked the Rehborgs as best we can.
Great working with you. Thanks for your work and for your input.
PS Let me know if you ever find out more of the elder William Rehborg.

It looks like I have some family linking for you regarding the Rehborg family.
I just have one stumbling block.
I just established a Memorial Page for Victor Rehborg.
According to his obituary he was born in Gwinner to William and Ella Rehborg. The obituary also mentions that his sister was Celeste Rehborg.
I see Memorial Pages for all three.
I also see a Memorial Page for a second, older William Rehborg.
So I looks like these are Victor's Grandfather, Parents and Sister buried in Gwinner.
The only problem is that the obituary lists Beccue as Ella's Maiden name instead of Heath.
I'm convinced these relationships are correct but I think you should be allowed to final decision.
If you agree with me let me know and I will link Victor to William and Ella.

|William Croghan||George B Leonard|
I also looked at the Civil War Draft Registration,,, Warren County, From Illinois,,,he was a Laborer,,, and before joining the 8th Iowa Cav,,,spent 11 months in the 17th Iowa Infantry Regiment....
|William Croghan||George B Leonard|
The GAR Marker by his grave indicates Civil War Service...I researched George, I used the Adjutant General's Military Records to find his service. He served in two Iowa units. He is Findagrave twice...... I used Ancestry to verify information.....

Yes, you have my permission to use my photos for any non-commercial use.

You are very welcome! It was my pleasure and honor! I had been to Ft Logan briefly at one time and didn't realize how beautiful and huge it was. The stones are numbered so well, it was easy. Yes, I would be pleased if you used the pictures in your family tree.
