 | Abner A Camp Family Cemetery I'm trying to locate the Abner A Camp Family Cemetery. I believe you are related. Would you be able to tell me where to find the cemetery? I have looked in several places & talked to someone who believes he might also be related but still have been unable to locate the cemetery. I'm a new Find-A-Grave volunteer & also new to the area which has made it a little more difficult. Thanks & I look forward to hearing from you!Added by Dolly on Feb 19, 2013 10:04 PM | | | Donna Shelhorse
 | RE: John Robert Flowers I'm sure we are dealing with 2 different John Robert Flowers. My grandfather was married to Bessie Bell and his father was Bryant Flowers married to Harriet Peele. He was a sharecropper in Kenly, NC. Very poor. Grew tobacco and cotton. If I come across any more JR Flowers will let you know. Also, I believe we are probably a generation apart. I'm 62. | | | Donna Shelhorse
 | RE: John Robert Flowers I hate to be ignorant but what do you mean by 2nd great-grandfather? | | | Donna Shelhorse
 | RE: John R. Flowers. I have just messed around with this family geneology thing. Just found the "find a grave" today and most helpful. My maternal grandfather was John Robert Flowers. Maternal great grandfather was Bryant. John Robert Flowers had a brother William Oscar Flowers who was a professional baseball player for the Pittsburgh Pirates briefly 1951. He died at 29 in a car crash. That's as far back as I have gotten so far. Anything sound familiar? | | | Donna Shelhorse
 | John Robert Flowers John Robert Flowers was my maternal grandfather. My mother is also buried here. Her name Vanie Belle Flowers Cook. Just found this site. Interested in knowing your relationship. | | | Dave Hamilton
 | Elmood Cemetery I live right across the street from Elmood Cemetery where you put in a photo request for John M Hartis. If you can find a plot section for him I would be more than happy to get some photos for you. It is a rather large cemetery so free-styling would take forever. | | | Yogi
 | Hiram Helms Sorry for the delay in answering but I have been flat on my back with some kind of flu crud for a week and a half. The contact point for this cemetery is: Doris J. Davis, 1119 Emily Lane, Monroe, NC. Her telephone # is 704-283-5102. If you visit the cemetery, her house will be the first one on the right after you turn into Emily Lane.Added by Yogi on Sep 18, 2012 9:00 AM | | | | [View all messages...] |
