I deleted my memorial for him, but you might want to include the information from his death certificate about his father's name because it's greatly different from his own name:
Death certificate lists father's name as Abraham Portnoy.

That's an easy one - the transcriber of the record misread the original record. Keep up the good work and we'll straightened all these folks out.

I changed it to Nathan. Until proven otherwise, I figure the person who had the stone made knew what Matthew/Nathan wanted to be called.

Yes they're the same. Another case of an error in the index I was using. Since yours has a photo, I've deleted mine.
