Clark Mills Kinney 1926-1995
Mr Kinney's biography can be found online Washington Post 7/13/95. His daughter Joie Nicole Kinney was murdered recently in West Hollywood, the story is well publicized and still going on. Could you please link both memorials as father & daughter. Thank you.

Do you know what this man's first name was?
W. Anderson isn't much to go on.

Bill, to tell you the truth, I am not sure. I have been told different stories about that. The last time I went to St.Mary's I was told, as I said before, that the city/county buried those there in unmarked graves, when no one came forward to claim the person. I suggest, if you are really wanting to know more details, that you contact the County Clerk Recorder:
You can try to get a copy of the death certificate and it should have the information of where the body was sent for burial. Plus cause of death and last know address, etc. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Sac County Cemetery
After all that (from my previous post) the county installed the granite blocks listing the people buried there in alphabetical order, the names being chiseled in the stone. I don't know when this was done, but I'm sure after many complaints about the treatment of this area. That is really all there is to take a picture of.

Bill...I have a correction: i talked to the woman at St.Mary's Cemetery about the Sacramento County Cemetery, that is adjacent to their property, and whose records they keep in a binder in the back. The records are not in their filed as they are not their burials. Anyway, I was told that the county would bury people there who had died, with no living relatives had come claim them. This is copied from an article about this cemetery:
Surveyed on July 11, 1987
Compiled and submitted by:

Peggy B. Perazzo
I first visited the cemetery in May 1985. I had my uncle's row and grave number from his death certificate. I was unable to locate the cemetery. Both the St. Mary'sCemetery and the Greek Orthodox Cemetery are adjacent to the Sacramento County Cemetery. I asked one of the caretakers of the St. Mary's Cemetery
where it was and he showed me. The caretaker told me that the County Cemetery had been in use until about 1950 at which time it was used as a dumping ground for many years.
(My uncle was buried there in 1930 as a county burial.)
At some unknown year, according to the caretaker, the large field was cleared of trash and it was kept plowed each year. When the field was
cleared, the concrete stones were piled at the ends of the rows. Throughout the field there were single stones strewn around with a few
piles of stones of about eight to ten stones in each pile. Some of these stones still have the brass plaques attached that show the person's name, row number, grave number, and another identifying number. There were no
dates on the plaques. The caretaker said the bodies were never exhumed. He said there were still two large headstones left in the field, but I was unable to locate them.

The caretaker I spoke with in 1985 said the cemetery records for
the Sacramento County Cemetery are held at the office of the St. Mary's Cemetery.

St. Mary's wrote that they were responsible for the County Cemetery and due to sunken graves, the stones were buried at the ends of the rows

Hi. I see your request for a photo for this person. However, I'd like to let you know that there are no individual graves at this location. If you look you will see those stone blocks behind the large cemetery name marker at the front. those blocks just contain the names of the people, in alphabetical order, who where moved and reburied there.
