Bio Photo Greetings,

I have a great love of history, as well as respect for those who participated in it. I personally feel that it is important to keep our family histories on record and in our memories, for ourselves and for future generations to come.

One of my favorite quotes is....

"When we die we become 'story's in the minds of other people."

I hope we will all find our story's.

If you would like to use any of the pictures that I have posted, please contact me and let me know in advance and if you are related, Thank You for your courtesy.

Common Courtesy's
Always say thank you.
Give credit where credit is due.
Be friendly.
Do not take unfair advantage.
Do not assume ... always ask first.
It's never okay to be a jerk.

Dorcas Hanks
Hello,

Do you know what happened to James Monroe Hanks' daughter Dorcas? She is not mentioned in the obituary. Regards, Pat Fuller, Eagle, MI

The cemetery is not in the better of any shape. Poor record keeping, the mapping/set up of the cemetery it-self is not good and grass up to ones knees everywhere, but the veterans section. They may have had headstones at one time, but due to the above conditions, impossible to find or have been moved/removed.

Have not given up searching for their exact location. Did not claim the request; just added the location photo so someone else might be able find them, so that's why you were not sent a message by find a g. Will continue to search the Palms section.

You are welcome. That's to bad it was a broken stone but I was happy to see the cemetery mounted the pieces back to back. Did you notice the beam of light (or possibly sleet), made for an interesting photo.
