Raised in Lisbon Falls, Maine, spent 40 years in education from the high school classroom and coaching to college administration, including 15 years in public safety administration. Marine Vietnam veteran. Currently retired and trying to combine info on Ancestry.com with Findagrave in order to put info on folks that were instrumental in the development of Lisbon Falls. Also interested in veterans' gravesite information, and of course my own ancestors, esp on my mother's side that I can trace back to the 1500s.|
(and yes, like thousands of others, I can trace back a family connection to President John Adams)

I found a list for Hillside in Feb 2014. His name was on the list so I added it. As I said I will remove mine when you move yours. His name should be in Hillside as he has a stone. Let me know if you move yours.

Is that a photo of his stone in Hillside?

No worries, glad to do it... this cemetery is on the street that I live... I pass it daily. Glad to see someone is interested in the folks buried there.
Just did the transfer... enjoy... Joan

Did you know you can ask for a transfer of memorials? That way you can put all the information on the memorial, or if you wish you can ask for Find A Grave to put info on for you.
Thank you so much for your note, as I mentioned to others, my uncle Carl Glee Smith, Jr., went down with the USS Spence on December 18, 1944 during Typhoon Cobra. I have attempted to put notes on all of the sailors who lost their lives that day (I have a list of their names). Three ships, the USS Spence, USS Hull, USS Monaghan
almost 800 lives lost between the three. The USS Spence lost the most men. Was so sad for our family....but so many others lost loved ones, too.
I was so surprised that so many memorials in that cemetery/memorial did not have any type of memorial flowers/cards. And I am attempting to
add as I have time God Bless.
