Bio Photo Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

"Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The goal at Find A Grave should not be to manage all of your family members. If you have information to add, you should suggest it to the current manager and they should make the changes."
~Jim Tipton, creator of Find A Grave.

We have been researching for a couple decades. Families: Buckmaster, Patterson, Wollam, all variations of Teatsorth, Falk/Faulk, Johnson, Lee, Collier, Eschbarger, Orr, Brinton, Thomas, Grau, Hyde, Case, all variations of Brandeberry, Richcrick (Reichenbach), Slote, Balken, Ulmstead, Flower, Dick, Graham, Hyatt, and many more.

Also a focus on those who have fought for and kept us free ~ our American veterans. We have a virtual cemetery for these units: 31st and 49th Ohio Infantry who fought during the Civil War.

Nope. I just checked my emails and the first one you listed is the one I sent on the 17th. I have no record of the other one and I have not worked on that family since then.

That looks like before I found the other two husbands and I made a mistake in numbering. But I don't remember sending that one. I still have them linked in my database with no notes regarding the marriages. They were definitely married.

The memorial includes a middle name of McGlumphy for this man, but the monument only has the initial M. I have seen the middle name given elsewhere but have not found any documentation to verify it. Do you know where it came from? Is there a Civil War marker for him which gives his whole name (not on the Find A Grave memorial).

Thanks, Sally

Lawrence McCune
Hello! I was wondering if you are also related to Lawrence McCune buried in Crawford cemetery in Adams Co. In.? Do you have any information concerning him being in the Civil War with his brothers James and Henry? Have you visited his gravesite? Do you know if he has a stone or not?
Thanks. JOhn

The death date is from the death certificate which lists DOB as 9/03/1830 and DOD as 4/07/1918. He is 87+ years old and died of Brights Disease. The informant is John A. Simon, Jr. I ran across it while researching someone else. Judi
