Here I am ... search'n for grave markers in a remote cemetery & drive'n my ATW (All Terrain Walker)|
I have recently passed a photo threshold ... over 1,000 photo requests fulfilled ... an accomplishment of which I am very pleased. Age and the cost of traveling to cemeteries on my 'beat' has slowed me down; but I still get out to make the rounds from time to time ... solely at my pace.
Anyone should feel free to 'grab' the photos of grave markers which I own (& have posted to the Find a Grave memorials) for use in personal family trees or another venue; and, in such event, credit to my ownership, while appreciated, is not necessary. That being said, I do make it a policy NOT to e-mail copies of original images (to which I own proprietary rights) directly to anyone. Sorry ...

All's good. I continue periodically to fuss with my genealogy stuff and I do trees for a couple of friends. Have been taking some time updating Find A Grave from transcripts of county cemeteries so have been looking records in Find A Grave and updating family as I come across them. I should probably do it more systematically.
My mom passed this spring, so the last person in my immediate family who was really interested in talking about genealogy is gone, but her obit brought contact from a 2nd cousin who is, so we are in touch and sharing. One door closes, another opens...

I think we both agree that her first name was not Nettie. Janet is fine with me. Your gg-grandmother's sister Charlotte was my gg-grandmother and the first wife of my gg-grandfather Charlie Reagan Wright. They had ten kids together and then she died around 1894-95. Charlie then married the daughter of one of Charlotte's male first cousins and they had eight kids together by 1918. My great-grandmother Mary Wright Pierce lived with us awhile back in the 1960's and I remember her well as I was almost 24 when she died. It has been nice speaking with you. Take care. Steve

I see you left information and a picture back in 2012 for "Ross Walker". That should be Rose Walker (I know it is a weird name for a man, but he has a brother named "Pink", as well), who was married to Mary E. Walker.
The nearby grave you referenced is not his daughter, but his mother, Lizzie Jane Pruitt Walker

You're very welcome ... happy to do it.
That's a very nice portrait you have of Olive Dixson Martin. Old photos have a way of making one's past come to life.

Thank you. Olive's portrait was given me by her relative, Jean Mead Morris. I made copies. I thought it was a lovely photo as well. Jean is in her mid 80's and still going strong. She has collected quite an array of photos & newspaper clippings, etc. about her family.

A cousin sent this cemetery book to me.
The inside says "To Order Copies, Contact Richard W. Pierce"
Here's the contact info:

I've checked. I believe his phone number is on WhitePages.
They are not my people and I am ALWAYS glad to transfer to family members!!!!
Thanks for requesting the transfer!
If you still need a picture of Leeann and J. H. Thomson, please let me know. I have one I'll share.

You're very welcome for the photos. Yes, you certainly have my permission to use them in your family trees. Glad I could help out !

Thank you very much for taking and posting photos of these 3 graves. I apologize for taking so long to download them and express my thanks. It is in no way a reflection of my heartfelt appreciation for your effort.

Thank you for getting back to me. I appreciate your hard work and posting the picture, otherwise I wouldn't be able to see it. Thank you again!
