Son of: Asa Austin, born 1809 and Lydia Jordan, born 1819, both of Coventry, Kent, R.I.
Husband of Mary Elizabeth Morrow, married 20 Sep 1883 Colby, Decatur, Kansas.
He fought in the Civil War (Union) and was a Private in Co. C, 33 Iowa Infantry. His widow drew his pension after his death.
