Sidney Smith
Were you the person who requested the photo of Sidney Smith's grave in the Oak Hill Cemetery of Autauga County, AL? I had taken a photo of S.A. Smith's grave with the birth and death dates as had
been requested. I even entered it. S.A. was the wife of B.F. Smith. When I read the write up for his grave site, I realized I had not gotten Sidney's grave, so I removed the photo and created a new image for B.F.'s wife. Apparently, Sidney was a Confederate soldier who went off with the Prattville Dragoons. I can still search the cemetery for Sidney's grave, even though it had not been found at the time of the cemetery project our genealogy society had done several years ago.

Are we related?
Anne, Hi, I'm Timothy Gould, great grandson of Thomie isora Bales married to Howard Marvin Gould..formerly "Gold" a few censuses earlier. I left a family tree of sorts on her dad, great, great grandpa Burl C Bales and noticed you left something and wondered if we were related or if he was someone in the civil war or something.. I'm really researching who his wife was..I know he was married to an Elmira and a Sylvanna A Barry...just not sure who thomie's mother was. Thomie also had a sister, Louanna. I know Burl and Elmira were married in 1887. Thommie Isora Bales and Howard Marvin Gould had three children, one is my grandpa, Bobby, who died in 2009. My grandmother still lives in Byng, Oklahoma. Well, hi from Oklahoma. You can reach me at tbtgc@hotmail.com

Olustee Battlefield Photo Requests
The requests that you submitted are all for GAR aka Union soldiers.

You'll find on the Olustee Battlefield website that there are no individual graves for Union soldiers.

The request has been claimed and should you want or need additional photo's of the cross that marks the mass grave I can email same to you.

Regards, dj

Anne, We walked the cemetery three times, cleaned off 3 headstones that could not be read, but we didn't find his grave. Sorry, we did what we could.
