I'm Martha Beatrice JAMES Bennett. I'm a Mississippi Delta gal. I'm a mother of four, grandmother of seven and great grandmother of ten.
My hobbies are reading, writing and genealogy. I'm working on the names James, Warrick and Mathews; Westbrook, Long and Schumpert; Newton, Howell and Holbrook; Little, Holcombe and Arbuckle.
I also enjoy 'FindaGrave' and I want to thank all who have left flowers for my daughter Carolyn, my sons Maddux and Gene and all my other relatives. Thank you all.

 | RE: Charlie and Londie Browning Nice to meet you also, I know that Lucille lived in Yazoo city...She died after 1998 or in 1998. My grandmother was a bit older than Maude or Minnie. She got married at a very young age and he was a salesperson..I remember her telling me stories of how she grew up. She rolled and lit cigarettes for her brother who lost his arm , she told me, her parents were share croppers and she helped along with her brothers in the crops. She slso told me that her mom's name was Loudie Louisa Jane Uptegrove and that she had indian in her. She told a story about her mom going to the doctor once and the nurse laughed at her name and ask her to repeat it three times, needless to say she was not happy. I don't know maybe she changed it after that to wiggins. I know there was a total of 13 children, 2 died at an early age. I know we visited LH, Lucille and Doris when I was a teenager. She lived to be 93 and she had no drivers' license. I am real interested in her family and infor would be greatly appreciated. I loved her very much and she was a kind wonderful person. She was my best friend....ThanksAdded by Pat Owen on Jun 08, 2013 10:40 PM | | | melissa

 | RE: Bernice Ousley Thanks Beatrice. Can you do me one more favor? I linked her to her husband, Charles D. Ousley, but in his bio it still lists her maiden name as Darcus. Will you correct it to Dacus for me? I appreciate the transfer of Bernice. | | | sr/ks
