Dear Alice, Now I know why the Find A Grave volunteers in Hawaii researched all of that valuable information on George Hogan! Thank you so much for making the wonderfully kind effort to ask them to do so. I don't believe our family ever learned anything about George's final hours. The family members who know him are all gone now, so I am deeply touched to be the one to honor him through Find A Grave -- and equally grateful to my Find A Grave friends like you who help to perpetuate George's memory. Hi Alice, thank you for leaving a token on my mother's memorial.
You know, the "Bourne" name that you are researching may come from Massachusetts, near where I live. On Cape Cod, there is "Bourne Bridge", and I am also related to the Bourne's.
I just wanted to give you info so you can at least look in New England on that line for that surname.
They may have gone west during the gold rush.

ALICE THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF THE GOOD INFO AND PICTURES ON THE GOODWIN FAMILY. I JUST FOUND OUT THAT CARL EDWARD GOODWIN WAS A YOUNGER BROTHER OF MY GREAT GRANDFATHER. 3 BROTHERS AND ONE SISTER IMMIGRATED, BUT CAME AT DIFFERENT TIMES AND THEY ALL TOOK DIFFERENT NAMES ON ARRIVAL. I HAVE RECENTLY STARTED WORKING WITH A COUSIN THAT HAD INFO I DID NOT HAVE AND I HAVE SOME HE DOES NOT HAVE AND WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTACT YOU ABOUT THE GOODWIN FAMILY. WE SUSPECT THAT VIRGIL'S 2 CHILDREN COULD BE STILL LIVING AND WOULD LIKE TO SHARE FAMILY MEMORIES AND PICTURES.

| A veteran to honor
Dear Cousin Alice, Over the Memorial Day holiday, I discovered the Find A Grave site of my cousin George M. Hogan whose plane was lost over the Pacific in WWII. He was the child of my mother's twin sister, who died giving birth to him. I know that you keep a list of veterans to honor, and I would be grateful is you would add George (who was a Dowling, not a Stultz).
