Thank you SO much for that lovely little story!! And it sounds just exactly like something Joan would do. Because of her vicious daughter, half the population out there have no idea what a truly kind and LOVING person Joan really was. Was she perfect? No. But she was FAR from the monster she has been portrayed as. Thats so funny when you described the kids bdays as their 'SPECIAL DAY', because often times when Joan would write her thank you notes, she also used the term 'special day' when thanking those who had remembered her birthday!!
