Dear Ancestor Your tombstone stands among the rest; Neglected and alone. The name and date are chiseled out On polished, marbled stone. It reaches out to all who care It is too late to mourn. You did not know that I exist you died and I was born. Yet each of us are cells of you In flesh, in blood, in bone. Our blood contracts and beats a pulse Entirely not our own. Dear Ancestor, the place you filled One hundred years ago Spread out among the ones you left Who would have loved you so. I wonder if you lived and loved, I wonder if you knew That someday I would find this spot, And come to visit you.
You know being lonely its funny in a way on one hand i am free to explore my mind and find the answers to questions about myself but on the other hand i have no one to share the answers with..... Maybe loneliness is best with a friend - Jeremy Myers | |

 | "Orange Socks" I saw that you have her burial place listed as unknown. I have visited her before at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas. She is buried as "Unidentified Woman 1979". I searched the cemetery records here on Find A Grave and found her memorial # 8520673. I assure you this is the woman known as "Orange Socks". Maybe the two separate memorials can be combined so that people can not only see her grave but know the background story as to how she became listed as unknown.
Hopefully someday her identity will no longer be a mystery. | | | Amy Fuller

 | RE: hi Thank you for your kind words. Today is the 6th anniversary of Karen's death (05-20-11) and, in her honor, I have FINALLY published a picture of her rather unique memorial plaque on her page. Please drop by and take a look.
Thank you,

 | RE: Hay You're very welcome. If ever you want to try to get an American date of death try the Social Security Death Index, it is public data. There's a few on the net. The one I usually use is here. Not everyone is on it, but many are.Added by sr/ks on Apr 10, 2011 6:19 PM | | | karryn ivory
