My husband and I are both retired and love visiting cemeteries.|
We take pictures and post memorials of relatives and "friends" we find along the way.
If any of the "friends" are your relatives, please let us know and we will gladly transfer to you.

|Jill Moorman||Rev. John Gommel info|
I live by St. Maurice, IN, which was formerly called Concord. A Rev John Gommel was a circuit preacher here from 1860 to 1870. There is a small cemetary on our property (St. Maurice Methodist cemetary) which has a grave of his two month old son, also named John. He died in a cholera epidemic, most probably.
I am trying to find the names of people buried here who no longer have a tombstone. I believe the cemetary was once larger. I am trying to honor these people with some kind of marker. Do you have any idea how to research this? The local historical society does not have the information. Neither does the regional Methodist office. Any ideas would be helpful.

thank you for taking a picture of the spot where he is buried. it is too bad that there is not even a marker.

Jill and Ron,
I wanted to touch base with you regarding me having a 2nd Great Grandmother by the name of Mary Em Weickle. She was married to Perry M. Gebhart. Is Mary Em related to you Ron. If so, we could be related also. I look forward to hearing from you.
