Feel free to use any of my photos in any way that you wish, especially the older ones. My only purpose in posting them is to share them with those who want them and to help preserve them for posterity, just as many of these were gifts which others (long dead, for the most) once shared so generously with me. History is not for hoarding or profit but for preserving and passing on.|
Attribution is not expected. With that said, however, the serious researcher/historian records the source for photos and rare documents. So while I don't need to be acknowledged or "thanked," I have tried (not always successfully) to list where most of my photos came from. If I have posted one that came from you, please let me know, or remind me, or suggest proper attribution.
Lastly, all of my memorials are works in progress, so I'm continually tinkering with them, researching, editing or expanding them. Additions, comments, corrections, criticisms and suggestions are welcome and always considered.

You requested a photo for this person in the Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, MO, in 2014. Her name is actually Laura Bessie Hutson. Maybe if you mention that in the photo request someone will find her. Thanks.

FYI… This cemetery is in disarray from grass and other growth. i went out there this am thinking I could get about. Rough grounds with a lot of pot holes. Multiple unknown rocks/markers. There is a lot of damage to this cemetery from campers. I do not know of anyone that upkeeps this cemetery, and by the looks of it , no one. A lot of stones are broken. I did not see a Jones or Upton. I will leave your request for now and maybe when the grass dies down someone can get out there and look again.

Wow...thank you SO much for all of the information you have provided for this family. Louis and Esther Secord Angeline are my 7th Great-Grandparents. I am overwhelmed with all the work you have done on their family. Thank you so very much. This is the first I'd heard of the connection to James Fenimore Cooper's Angevine family.
|mari schmidt||Hi Ray|
It is Mari Schmidt...I have moved back to S. Lake Tahoe on the Nevada side. It has been a while since we last talked. Thank you for the history included in the find a grave and the pics. I am hoping to get to the cemetery in the near future. I would also like to get into the old Stockton museum records and archieves. Still hoping to find others in my families branch of the Isbell line. I did find my grandmother mary's book, zig zag tales, listed on amazon...Of course they have no copies for sale...Thanks...Mari
