Since retirement, I have had lots of time to work on genealogy for my family and my husband's family. I enjoy visiting cemeteries and recording the burials to help others find their relatives.
When requesting a transfer, please tell me how you are related to the individual. I'm not a stickler for the 4 generation rule, but I do like to know your connection to the person.
PLEASE DO NOT ADD DEATH CERTIFICATES TO MY MEMORIALS. | |

 | RE: Hansford Cemetery Hi, I thought that I had sent you info on the exact location of the Hansford Cemetery, sorry if I did not, as our house sold in Lewisport Ky and we moved to Corpus Christi, TX. DIRECTIONS TO THIS HANSFORD FAMILY GRAVEYARD FROM OWENSBORO, KY, TAKE ROUTE 431,TURN LEFT ON ROUTE 140 AT UTICA, KY THE NEXT ROAD TO THE RIGHT IS GORE ROAD THIS IS A WINDY ROAD WITH LOTS OF NEW HOMES. THERE IS A BIG CURVE TO THE RIGHT, CONTINUE GOING AND STOP ABOUT 2 CAR LENGETHS BEFORE YOU COME TO THE STOP SIGN AT "GORE ROAD AND EAST LOCUST GROVE ROAD" LOOK TO THE LEFT, IN THE MIDDLE OF A FIELD FOR A TALL CEDAR TREE, HALF GONE, AND THE HANSFORD GRAVEYARD IS JUST BEFORE THE CEDAR TREE. THE GROUND IS FULL OF WEEDS AND LOTS OF BRIARS. WE UNDERSTAND THAT THE HAMILTON COMPANY BOUGHT THE LAND AND SUBDIVIDED IT FOR NEW HOMES. THEY MUST HAVE COME IN AND CLEARED THE LAND AND RAN OVER MANY OF THE TOMBSTONES. Dottie Porter Himes himesd12@gmail.com

 | Dr. James Davidson Priest Maggie,
I appreciate your transferring this Confederate physician's memorial to me. In a few days I will post a detailed biography from our register of physicians who served the Confederacy in a medical capacity.

 | 59094764 - Robert T. Duncan Robert T. Duncan was a member of Hq Company, 192nd Tank Battalion. He fought in the Philippine Islands from December 8, 1941 until Bataan was surrendered on April 9, 1942. On April 14, 1942, while he was on the Bataan Death March, he was bayoneted by a Japanese Guard and died. After the war, his remains were never identified, so he was declared dead on February 1, 1946. His name appears on the Tablets of the Missing at the American Military Cemetery at Manila.Added by JimO on Mar 21, 2013 7:43 AM | | | Iggycp
