I've always been fascinated with grave sites, visited cemeteries, made rubbings, took photos, etc. and must say that find-a-grave is an ideal site.

I've worked on family history projects for over 35 years and will for as long as I can. I'm more than happy to share family history with anyone interested.

The primary names I research are STROOPE, KEA, Pitts, Howton, Trammel, Hopper, Hale, Thetford, CARPER, BARTON, Lyon, Phipps, Griffith, Ellison, Shumate and many allied lines.

When I document a grave site, I try to include some information on the parents, siblings, marriage, etc. hoping this will help someone idendify their relative. In some cases, when recording my line, or lines, I've created memorials for as much of the cemetery as I've had access to.

I'll be glad to transfer your family member to you. Always remember the FAG # for the memorial page and, of course, your FAG #. PLEASE do not send me a big list of names with no numbers included... thanks

If I have grave site information in error, please contact me so that corrections can be made.

Recent projects include:

--Gig Harbor and Haven of Rest Cemeteries, Gig Harbor, Pierce County, Washington

--JCC Smith Cemetery in Texas

--Knight of Pythias and Sunset Lane Memorial Park, Port Orchard, Kitsap County, Washington

Yes, she is. Her memorial is Ruth E.E. VanGilder, her husband is Clarence VanGilder. Also, Ruth & Dovie's mother, Emma B Mott, is buried there. And Steve S. Jr too! I have photos of the grave markers. How can I send to you?

RE: Troy Richard Feather
Hi Kathy, I appreciate your looking into this but don't want you to waste much of your time on it as I'm not able to committ much time and effort to this. Genealogy is my hobby or obsession. My stepson doesn't have much of a relationship with his father or his family, so I am pretty much doing this on my own. I didn't know Troy and Ida had divorced and remarried. I had found a newspaper article from the 1910s where she had brought charges against him for physical abuse. I had investigated Ida's and Troy's siblings in the census returns trying to see if these three could have been nephews and niece before the adoption. In most cases, maybe all cases I found that this could not have been the case. There may have been one or two cases where it was inconclusive, I'd have to look at my notes to be sure. I tried to see if I could find obits from that time period to see if I could figure anything out, but ran into issues with it costing money to research the newspapers in the area online. So I haven't pursued that any further. Anyway thanks for what you have done. Maybe in time there will be other records online that I can search.

Find A Grave Memorial# 95548143
I am researching my stepson's genealogy and believe that Troy Richard Feather was my stepson's great uncle, John C. Feather being my stepson's grandfather. I was curious about your comments regarding Troy being adopted and his siblings Aileen and John C also having been adopted. I have found these siblings listed as adopted in the 1930 census. I do not know if they were siblings before they were adopted or only became siblings after they were adopted. I was hoping you had more information on their adoption. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Steve S. Allee Sr
Please correct his mother to Ruth Mott
Buried in Sunset Lane Memorial Park; Kitsap County; Port Orchard, WA
Dove Mott was his aunt and Ruth's sister. Steve was my dad's only brother. Ruth is buried there as well under the headstone marked Ruth E.E. VanGilder d. 1999
