Bio and Links
Bio Photo I started searching for Maiden names of Women in the Family. Years of off and on research made some exciting finds.
Names lost of Grandparents Mothers etc on the male side and also on the female side. Names never to be known unless uncovered.
Thanks to the new Family I have found and their sharing of the wonderful Price history of our relatives. Thanks to the Journey To Cape Fear By Michael Price (A wonderful work),if not for EEPrice,I would not have the a special thanks to you.
South Carolina Price Family,
The Price-Collins Family, I say a big thanks to all the help.
A special thanks for the help of the Bethel Baptist Church,a cousin there, in MS that led me to a path of My GG grandFather.
One year ago (2012) I knew nothing of my Paternal side of the lost Family.

Pickens Taylor
Good news! I had left a problem note cause I couldn't find Pickens after much searching in Leesville Cemetery.:( Well, I ran across him today with his 2nd wife Bertha in Ridge Crest Cemetery. I was so excited! I am requesting an edit to get this all fixed!

Hi..I am researching my Price line and wondered if you had any information on who Turner's parents were. I think it was a William and Mary but can't seem to find the correct ones. This Turner Price is my great great Grandather. I live in Ms and have all the information up to his Parents.

Edwin Volney Ruthven
Hi Charlotte,
Edwin and Fybia are my GGgrandparents. I have heard that some descendants changed the spelling to Ruffin. I guess they are pronounced similarly and it was just easier to spell it Ruffin!
I have a copy of Edwin's death cert and it show his father as William Ruthven and his mother as Prudence Jones. Also shows he was born in Bowling Green KY. The informant on the death cert was the doctor that was treating him, which makes me wonder how accurate the info on it is. It may very well be that the doc was a good friend of his and knew all the info on him. Anyway, I have looked for info on his parents and so far I haven't had much luck. I need to look again since it's been several years since I have checked.
Are you related to Martha Tyler Smith and Edwin Ruthven??

John Henry Price 52196260
Hello Charlotte, John Henry’s parents were: Shadrack Emanuel Price (1845 to ? – last found in the Census of 1900) and Mary J Hammond (1848 to 1888). Unfortunately, I don’t know the final resting places of Shadrack and Mary. John Henry’s wife, Allie, was my grandmother’s sister. Good to hear from you. ~ Michele

RE: John T Patteron

Oh Charlotte, I Wish I could help, but I have no idea where he is buried. You might want to try contacting the Harrison County, MS Office of Vital Statistics and/or the Coroners' Office for that area.. I see exactly what you mean by records of them having disappeared. Their deaths have to be recorded somewhere by law. Also, did any of their children move out of the State? Oftentimes if parents live to be elderly, the children will move them to their location [which is what I did]. Therefore you are looking for them at the last point of residence, and perhaps they were moved totally out of State? I would also contact the Management of the Cemetery where his parents are located, because pre-planned family burial grounds were also the norm back then. Sorry, I wish I could help more. Good Luck in your search, and don't give up on it. Blessings, Sandi :-)

RE: Hunsaker
I don't see how any of these people trace into the Hunsaker family. How do you trace to Johannes?

RE: Hunsaker
Yes. I have tons and tons of information. Virtually every Hunsaker in the USA comes from Johannes Hunsaker who migrated from Austria/Germany to the US (Philadelphia). From there, the family generally moved to Western PA and Kentucky. From Kentucky, they moved to Illinois and Missouri and spread from there. If you tell me who he descended from, I will gladly send you a file of thousands of descendants.

RE: Tom Schovajsa
Yes Tom was my great grandfather George Schovajsa's half brother. Their father had a family with his first wife before she died. Then he married George's mother and two children.

Thank you for your suggestions for Anna's memorial, which I accepted. I have no connection to Anna so I transferred her memorial to you. Regards, Charlie
