I have been actively searching for my elusive ancestors since 1974. What began all those years ago as an endeavor to help my daughter with a class project quickly turned into a major obsession. Here it is thirty four years later and I'm still obsessed and still spending most of my waking hours trying to break down those brick walls and piece together all the loose ends. I only began recently posting family Memorials on Find A Grave. A few of the family lines I am working on are: Fairbanks Springer Wells Culp Foshee Heart/Hart (Brick Wall) Busby (Brick Wall) Flippo Simmons Casey Davis Coe Self
I also work on my husband's lines: Dihm MacDonald Neudorfer Manes Chenowth Davis Gipson
RE: Rachel Dihm - Graceland Cemetery You're welcome. I have found cemeteries to be very helpful with location information when I call, including several on Long Island. Mostly I have called for family folks. Good Luck, Bob
I was hoping you might be able to create a findagrave for George W. Snow, son of Ebenezer and husband to Rebecca Beckham Snow. From the info I have read, his marker location is unknown but a site for him would be nice to link to his father's page #58611586.
Chet Snow has some great info on WikiTree that might be good to add for details about his life.
Thank you so much,
Tish Scott granddaughter to Burl Levi Snow, great-granddaughter to Willis Green Snow, GGgranddaughter to George W. Snow.
My name is (Melody) Kay Wilburn Berg. I am the granddaughter of Cora Culp, daughter of Nathan Culp. My father was Cora's son, William Delbert Wilburn. I have a hand written letter from my dad about his heritage. He mentions that my great grandfather, German Wilburn was German and Irish and my great grandmother was English and Indian. He often referred to his Indian heritage. He used to tease my mom and me and say, "I'm going to divorce your mother, put you in an orphanage, the dog in the dog pound and go back to the reservation where they know how to treat a man." We affectionatly referred to him as Chief Sock in the Wash. I think he was very proud to be of Indian Heritage. Do you have anything to document that heritage Vonda? I would love to hear from you. I would be glad to send you a copy of this letter he wrote as well. I look forward to hearing from you or any of my long lost cousins.
RE: George W. Flippo I wish I had known about the get together> I would have loved to have met you. Thank you for all the work you did. I know it took a lot of research and I have learned more about the George W Flippo side of the family because of it.
RE: Bertha C Buckholts Copley William Perry Buckholts is my gggrand father. George Washington Buckholts was his son. Williams son Napoleon Oliver Buckholts is my ggrand father. Thanks again for you help.
RE: Casey Ancestry Hi Vonda, It's nice to know that I have new relatives. I am new to genealogy, so I have a lot of digging to do. I have a picture of my grandmother, Jencie and my grandfather, Henry if you would like me to send it to you. Just let me know.
