OkJuanita B. Mullins

Thank you for all you do! I viewed the grave site record of J. D. Mullins and OkJuanita B. Mullins and submitted corrections to you.
Her correct name is OkJuanita Byers Mullins (not Brooks).
Her correct date of Birth is March 9, 1915 (not May)
Her correct date of death is May 27, 2000.
Thanks for making these corrections.

No, I am not related. I just find information working mostly from death records and send it to the managers to post, or not, as they see fit.

Philip Bethea
Philip Bethea (misspelled in search as Phillip) is an ancestor of mine. His son, Col. James Robert Bethea and spouse Mary Catherine McLeod are listed along with two of their children. However, I cannot find James and Mary Catherine's son, Robert Lucien Bethea. Do you have any leads on him? Thanks.

RE: McKenzie Photo
The only Hood's that I show are Florence Lyle Hood (1905 - 1991), James LaSalle Hood (1902 - 1962) and James LaSalle Hood, Jr (1927 - 2000). If you would like copies of these, please email me at gluefingers71@yahoo.com.

RE: McKenzie Photo
Hi Edna,
I actually live just west of Birmingham. I photographed all of the markers in Oak Hill about 6 years ago but haven't taken the time to add them all. For now, I just fill as many requests as I can. Maybe one day, I'll get around to posting them all.

RE: James Trevathan
Thanks for transferring. I heard the story most of my life and it saddens me because he left two young children orphaned - so unnecessary. I went to Trinity Co. and did some research but couldn't find anything in the court records. I did get a newspaper article from another genealogist re the incident. At least I now know all the men involved. Many articles on how lawless the area was during that time period. Either there were no court records because both shooters were killed or they are just lost. Courthouse records prior to early 1900's are a mess there and it is a shame to have them rotting in a back room but it would be quite a project to clean up. I took pics of my sister and I in the back room trying to sort through all of them. I plan to write a short bio for the Find A Grave memorial. Thank you again for all your hard work!
