Bio and Links
Bio Photo Got interested in tracing my family's history and got hooked. In the process tripped over Find A Grave.

Now my wife and I meander around snapping photos for other folks; and discovering the highways and byways of our home.

Occasionally I am tempted to take photos which have not been requested. When this happens, I create a bare bones FAG memorial page. Unless it is within my family, YOU WANT IT? YOU CAN HAVE IT. Will transfer management in an Olympic swimmer's millisecond. :-)

I really appreciate your getting this.

I had seen the grave at Oakdale, but could not remember where is was in the graveyard.

For a while I thought that I had dreamed it !!!!

THANK YOU very much !!!!

Thank you very much for the Murphy gravestone pics. Though the hoped for date of marriage was missing, the photos are precious to family.

Josephus McVay
Hi Bill,
It turns out that Josephus is listed as 'Cephas' McVay in the cemetery records. There is a McVay Block, but only three have markers and three women have different last names. I'm going to email you a 'map' of the burial spaces which shows the names and locations of the graves. I hope they are helpful to you in your search. Only burial sites # 5,7 & 8 have markers. I went ahead and took pictures of the markers in case they were of any help to you and will attach them with the map. Because we now have the location of the graves, I can also send photos of the other's grave sites if you'd like even without the markers. Take a look at the map and names and then just let me know. I don't mind going back.. Dottie
