I am retired from the Army and living in Southern Illinois, way south. I can see across the Ohio River into Kentucky from my mailbox. I can't really say I am an avid genealogist, I go in spurts, but my wife and I live on the farm where her grandmother was born. We even have the family cemetery.|

Your profile photo is very interesting to me, as that little girl is my maternal great grandmother, Lula Rose Gilbert. I came across your information during my own ancestry search. I would love to see any more photos you might have of the Carr family. Please contact me if this is agreeable to you.

I see that you uploaded a picture for Linda Rorer saying that she is in a cemetery. She is my maternal grandmother and I assure you she was cremated and is sitting on my grandfathers mantel. Please make the correction. Thank you.
Noticed today that there are 2 IOOF cemeteries listed in Pope County, both in Golconda. Do you have an address for the one you took the photo of? Do you think the 2 listings (one has 80 memorials, the other has 18 or so) are for the same cemetery and should be combined? It would be helpful to have a GPS on the cemetery so that a map could be posted but cannot find it on Google maps. If you have a street address of some sort, that would help. Any ideas? Thanks!

|Steve Squier||Carr family|
I was excited to come across your profile today and find that you are a descendant of Walter Raleigh Carr. I am a descendant of his brother and am compiling a book on our branch of the Carr family. If you're willing to collaborate with me, please send an email to email@example.com.
|Lucas Brooks||You're welcome.|
Glad to help you out. There are only a couple graves in Saint Gregory's that are bigger than the cross. It must stand nine feet tall anyways. Pretty cool. I'm glad I could find it for you.
