I have been transcribing cemeteries for a few years, many here in Somerset County, NJ. |
I do a lot of research in Penna, both York County and Snyder County (family/college). I've begun to try to update a Snyder county book (Wagenseller) of Snyder County graves that was published about 1900, focusing on, but not exclusively, those cemeteries NOT included on the Snyder County website.
I am happy to transfer memorials to family members per Find A Grave rules. And if you are not directly related, I do updates once a week. Please use the Edit tab, once per memroial, and I'll add what ever information is appropriate and cite you as the source in the Notes section. PLEASE ONLY ONCE PER MEMORIAL - I cannot be responsible if your multiple requests do not go through, and lately there have been too many requests (multiple pages) to identify duplicate memorials. The issue has been that a subsequent request overwrites a prior request. Hopefully they will eventually fix that. Thanks for your understanding.

Thanks a lot. It's nice of everyone to keep track of all these things. MJ

Someone emailed me and pointed out that the picture of Anna Weiss Gemberling's headstone which you posted is George Gemberling JRs wife Anna Ritter not Anna Weiss Gemberling's headstone. Anna Ritter Gemberling's info is b. 8 Jul 1796 and D. 20 Apr 1837. Anna Weiss was b. 8 Jul 1776 and d. 26 Apr 1836. So close to each others info. At least that's what I think. Thanks Mary Jane

I want to make you aware that I created a memorial for her husband, Simon Van Wickle with the info on the tombstone for dates. I noted in the caption of the picture that it was your photo. If this is not acceptable I will delete the picture and hopefully it can be copied by you.
Toots An indirect descendant of Anna and Simon
