Mary Elizabeth Renfroe Carroll
Hi Charles:
My great grandparents were Timothy Carroll and Mary Elizabeth Renfroe Carroll from Quitman, Ga.
My Great Aunt was Ruth W. Carroll Williamson. I notice she had a full brother, Simeon as well as
a half brother Ola. I do not see anything about my grandmother, Virgie Mae Renfroe, who married Sam Jones Fann. Do you know how she is related to the Carroll family? She lived with Timothy and Mary Elizabeth and Ruth was known as her half sister. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Charles Calvin Carroll
Hi Charles,

My family has a copy of a letter that he wrote to his wife and first 3 children while he was away fighting in the civil war. I'm pretty sure all I have is a typed copy, but I will get that to you when I find it so you can post it. I remember being so impressed at his words and that someone had the forethought to copy and keep it.

Take Care,

John W Carroll
Hi Charles,

Ref: John W Carroll Feb 20, 1857 - Jan 6, 1918. The W stands for William

Also, on Amanda Jane McKenzie Carroll
We have her listed in our family Bible. My copy of paperwork from that Bible lists her death as March 21, 1913 instead of 1918. My uncle has the Bible, I will check with him to verify. I don't know how confident you are in that date. I visited the cemetery in Harvest several years ago. I don't know when I will get a chance to do so again.

Hope this is helpful!

Have a nice day! :)

RE: Robert Fred Carroll
Thanks so much! That definitely helps. I'm just surprised that he ended up so far south in Georgia.

Thanks so much for the Stewart headstone pics..
I know I spelled the page different from the headstone. All documents show with a w not a u not sure why the headstone were made with a u.

RE: Robert Fred Carroll
One more question: How did you know that Robert Fred Carroll is buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery? Did you see his gravestone? (There's no photo of it on the memorial.) Get his name from a burials list somewhere?
