Bio and Links
Bio Photo Just a VERY amateur family history buff. Love this site and hope to be able to help out more.

All pictures I may take are free for you to use however you see fit. I am NOT a photographer, I am usually using my iphone or inexpensive digital camera. I have NO problem with others deleting pics if they have a better one. I just know when I am looking for ancestors or family, a picture helps me KNOW that that person is really there and most likely lived and died when the tombstone says as such!

If I post a picture, and you would like a better one, please contact me through email. I will try my best to go out and get a better one for you.

I am trying to get pictures up for Cycadia Cemetery in Tarpon Springs, FL. Many of them are in Greek. I am trying to translate as best to my husband and in-laws ability, lol, so if you know that a certain person spelled their name in English differently, PLEASE let me know!

If you want a transfer please ask for it! I do not really have the time, outside of my family or my husband's, to give the memorials I create the time and care they deserve! I only enter them in case someone somewhere is looking, and hopefully one day will ask for a transfer and give some love! I will make corrections or links if that is all you want though, I just don't have the time to search for verifying information on my own.

If you are researching Pinellas roots a great website to visit, created and cared for by Linda Flowers, is http://fl-genweb.org/mpc/pinellas/

IMPORTANT!!! I HAVE RECENTLY STARTED WORKING CRAZY HOURS! I am trying my best to get through the corrections sent to me. Please don't hesitate to resend them or ask for a transfer if it takes me longer than 2 weeks. Like I said above, I love to make transfers.

Welcome To West Virginia!
Dear "5th of Nov"!

WOW! You are such a wonderful blessing in so many ways! .. I sincerely appreciate the transfer - and I love your attitude as to why you are a contributor .. also my feelings .. love sharing my information/pictures/histories, etc., any way I can.

As for MOORE, lots of 'em here in Southern WV - and, as usual, with early documentation, the name is, at times, spelled MORE, MOOR, -- you know how it goes(LOL)!

As for West Virginia, would love to have you come visit our beautiful State .. so much history in so many ways, much of it still untold, especially regarding our families - many, many immigrants from all over the world came here .. sort of like New York City or Chicago, except they (the immigrants) "spread out" as opposed to "clumping together" as they did in the big cities - there are some beautiful old buildings/stone work in some of the small towns and in the country-side, the work having been done by "1st generation" stone mason from Italy .. the awesome work done by the coal miners who came from all over Europe .. and the family traditions they brought with them and which we now enjoy in so many ways .. I could go on and on but more later - as for the Mann/Manns reunion - big family name in Southern WV (Raleigh County) as well as Lincoln County, WV - The name Rev. John H. Mann(s) is seen on early Wayne & Lincoln County marriage records .. as you have time, you may want to take a look at those sleeping in the Manns Knob Cemetery, Harts, Lincoln Co., WV.

Need to "zip it" for now - I do tend to get "carried away" (LOL).

Love and Blessings to you and your family .. Della

MOORE, Gen. P. Sheridan & Rhoda E. (Damron)
Hello "the 5th of Nov"!

I am so THANKFUL that I found you today .. and I'm so thankful that you have listed their memorials and photographed their markers! What a blessing you are to so many of us who search for our ancestral/family members!

I've linked "Sheridan" to his mother and father who sleep in our very old, old family cemetery here in WV via the "Link" button and, if they are not your family members, would you mind transferring, AT YOUR CONVENIENCE, their memorials to me?

Interesting "tidbit", "Sheridan" was not a general but was given the full name of 'General Phillip Sheridan Moore' as his father had served under Gen. Sheridan's command during the Civil War. In our area, it was a common practice for the returning Veterans to name their sons after their commanding officers. In our "very, very old" family cemeteries, sleep several of those Veterans (both sides) and, many times, so do the sons who were named for their commanding officers.

I am a descendant of both the family of "Sheridan" (as he was known to us) and his wife, Rhoda (Damron) Moore. For the past few years, several of us who are these "Veteran's descendants" have been attempting to find/link family members to each Veteran and, at times, it has taken "more than just a few hours"! ... but we "enjoy the hunt". (LOL) It took me about 2 weeks to locate one of "Sheridan's" sisters, and, when I did, her burial site was not far from where my family lives (she had married 3 times and finding her "final surname" took a while!)

Again, my sincere thanks and appreciation to you for all you do for "all of us searchers" ... Blessings to you and your family .. Della

Meres Family
Is the Meres Family in Hillsborough County Fl. yours, family. If so I would be happy to transfer my memorials to you. I am not related at all. I found out that Katherine Meres Taylor attended Florida State University and just checked her out. I cannot seem to find her husband or her marriage records though.

Have a pleasant weekend.
