RE: Elam Bontrager
Elam's grandmother, Sylvia (Miller) Bontrager, is my 1st cousin, on my step-father's side of the family. My husband's grandmother's maiden name was Hostetler and her ancestors came from Pennsylvania. Thanks for posting the memorial for Elam, I really appreciate it.

RE: Batchlett
Hi Debbie,

I kind of thought the same thing as you about the difference in spellings. Somewhere it got left off and nobody decided to fix it. Funny thing about this is I have a relative that swears the correct spelling is with one "T". Don't know why. My thinking is that it was two and maybe even some miss spellings like maybe it was Botchlett or something else before Batchlett. When our ancestor's came across the sea who knows what was lost in the spelling, huh? I guess it doesn't really matter as long as we find our family.

Thank you so much for your kindness and I am anxious to see what you find in your early documents of Batchlett/Batchlet to see how long this line used 2 T's.

I agree, family does need family but it is also nice that there are such nice people out there like yourself that are unrelated that take the time to help out the lost.

Thanks again, and be well,
Donna (Batchlet) Sheets

Still finding more...
Hi Debbie,
Me again, I am still uncovering more leads to my family and found that you have another relative that I am requesting a transfer of, Louis Henry Batchlet, Memorial# 124328701. He would have been my great Uncle. He is another relative with the same spelling that I have with only one "T". Still wondering where some had two and some had one. Mystery???

Thanks again for all your time,
Donna (Batchlet) Sheets

one more please
Hi Debbie,
I guess I sent my request too soon because there is one more transfer request that I am asking for, it would be for Albert F. Batchlett, Memorial# 124328564, who would be my Great Uncle. Thanks again so much for your time,

Requesting Transfers
Hi Debbie, my name is Donna Sheets. I am requesting a couple of transfers if possible. They are my Great Grandparents. My Great Grandfathers name is Fred Batchlett, Memorial#129602572 and my Great Grandmothers name is Rebecca Borst Batchlett, Memorial# 129605168. I appreciate you taking the time to set up the memorials. My father's parents both passed when he was 2 years old and somewhere along the line he lost a "T" in his last name. Still a mystery to all of us left.

Thank you for your time,
Donna (Batchlet) Sheets
