I love history and exploring my own genealogy as well as helping others discover theirs.
I am currently working on projects for my husband's family . His mother's side has deep roots in the US dating back to the 1600's. Using FindAGrave I am trying to link all of the family members together so future researchers find it easier to locate their family members It irks me when edits are declined because a woman's maiden name might not appear on her headstone It is difficult enough to locate and trace female family members
My own tree is being worked on by both myself and my sister but having roots in the Poland/Austria/Czech area we come upon brick walls often.
Be sure to check out my Virtual Cemeteries---I have been working hard on grouping families so they are easier to find Leave me a note if you think we may share some lineage. I'd love to compare notes and share what info I have discovered!
RE: Eunice Osbourne Culver Hi Susan. I'm confused. What date are you seeing on the lefthand side of the stone? To me, it pretty clearly reads Jan 3 1842, which matches the date on the memorial. The records I looked at show Lewis's daughter dying on Aug 3. The age is less clear -- I'm not sure if it says 2 or 72. 72 would be correct for Lewis's mother. If the records are accurate, Lewis's daughter was just over 3 years old when she died, so 2 wouldn't fit.
At the same time, it would be odd for a grandmother and grandson to be marked together on a stone like this.
St Joseph Cemetry-Balke gravesite Hi Susan-I filled your request for Joseph Balke. He is buried with his wife, Sophie A (1897-1973) and there is a military stone next to them for an Edward Francis Balke (Jun 1, 1929-May 12, 1978). If you create memorial pages for Sophie and Edward let me know and I'll post pictures to their pages....Mary
Powell family @ Medway Done! I have a couple more at Sandy Plains Cemetery at Cairo, New York that may be related; and, a few more at Boston. Use the search function on my profile and let me know if you want a transfer. Jacki
RE: Veronica Asconio Hi Susan - please use the Edit tab in the upper right corner of the memorial to submit links, name edits and birth/death place/date edits. This ensures I get the information right! Thanks, LG

St Adalbert Cemetery-Voss gravesites Hi Susan-I checked for Father Harold and Father James Voss. While there are headstones for John A Sr, Martha and Bernard Voss there are no headstones for the two priests. Please let me know if you want an overview picture of the unmarked and marked graves in Section 19, Lot 91...Mary
