|First of all, thanks to all the wonderful find-a-grave contributors that have helped me "learn the ropes", for the transfers, and the hard work in keeping the many memorials accurate and respected.|
All of the memorials I manage at this point are family profiles and a few very special friends. I have been doing the Edwards/Messer family research for 33 years and love digging through the info! That of course includes several other surnames such as Elmore, Imboden, McKay, Elliott, Baker, Booe, Dodson, Williams, Scott, and the list goes on. Many of these family members and ancestors are buried at Oak Hill Cemetery and surrounding areas of Galena, Kansas. On one particular line I have linked back 5 generations on findagrave. With the exception of the Bakers and Imbodens, most are buried in the Galena/Joplin area.
My motive is not to have many memorials, but to keep accurate profiles of our family and respect their memory. If you see that we are related or want more info regarding any of these memorials, I would love to share and trade family history with anyone interested.
If you see a duplicate that I have added, please let me know as I may not have seen it. Send an edit and SAC, and I will delete the duplicate. (as per find-a-grave guidelines) I am happy to transfer, to family, any record, especially if I'm not related. One exception...I reserve the right to keep any memorial that is my direct family that I have added or manage.
Bottom-line, family should be together if those profiles are being cared for.
I believe in adhering to the findagrave "family first" policy.

|Christopher Veltmann||RE: Thomas Edwards|
I have gathered from my family pictures, documents, recordings, videos, and various other items for the past 10 years. I have a 20 by 20 storage locker filled with these items. I have promised my relatives that I would organize , file, and record these (valuable ) family history items and make them available. I am currently 2 years into that process, and haven't scratched the surface. Since my wife's side of the family was in the US in the 1500's there is a lot of History. You can reach me anytime at MOLDINC@YAHOO.COM
I can email you the Original portrait of Tom and his wife if you would like. I had the color one done by a friend.
Go to Thomas Edwards... 1690- 1781

I've transferred Will per your request.
Here's hoping that you are able to locate more info on your old high school friend.
|Diane Simmons||Old Cooper Cemetery|
Do you have more specific directions on how to get to the cemetery?

|Mark's Mom||RE: Dawson Kids|
If you would like I can transfer her children to you. I'm going to do some more research on the children, it seems they were involved in a car accident that took the lives of seven people.
Thanks for answering Pam. Seems we're all on the same page about you know who!

It's yours, you already had his wife. I've had a few come back, when people decided they didn't want them anymore, and I've had a few returned so that I could add more information to them, then return them.
I have to admit there have been some times when after I saw what they had done to my work that I'd liked to have had them back. I've had a few that have deleted my information, and not much if anything was added. I'd already added the links, and apparently that was all they wanted on it.
It can be really frustrating.

Did you notice I found the 1920 census for Albert and added it as well. You might be able to find one for Effie also.

It worked! First time I have done one just like that. I had sent a SAC to them to link him with his mother, but since they haven't done it, I have to wait 30 days and if they don't do it by then, I will send it to the administrators to do the link.
