I am interested in locating stories, biographical information, photos and family links for all family memorials. Especially with people with common names, if you wish me to link to relatives, please provide what evidence you have; a false link may prevent connection with true relatives.
If you would like to manage one of the sites, please explain your family connection or other interest. Follow the procedure in Findagrave FAQ:
"contact the Find A Grave member who created the memorial via the "Suggest a Correction" link under the "Edit" tab on the memorial in question with your request to have the memorial management transferred to you. This will send an email request to the contributor, even if there is not an email address listed on their contributor page."
"the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been, is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs."
— George Eliot (Middlemarch)

Please put that stop at last house on right hand side before you can go to the cemetery so owners of land know that is where they are going or visiting. We went there and got in trouble by owners. Thank you. Cari
I very much appreciate the transfer of this memorial to me and for the many contributions you have made to findagrave.com.

|Kathleen||Linking Nina (Moritz) Ridgeway #8994897|
I put in a request to link Nina to her parents, Frederick and Elizabeth (Nye) Moritz (12931361 & 129315210). Frederick and Elisabeth are my great-great grandparents. Nina is my great aunt. Nina's sister Ida, is my great grandmother.
I have added a wedding picture of Lloyd and Nina to Lloyd Ridgeway's record.
For evidence, I have a copy of Orpha R (Moritz) Kettler's obituary (Nina's sister). It mentions Nina as one of her surviving sisters and Nina living in Sheridan, OR at the time of Orpha's death. It also mentions the other surviving siblings, Bertha, Alice, Pearl, and Charles. I also have a short obituary for Frederick that explains he moved back to Nebraska from Oregon 6 months before his death.
If you would like copies of the obituaries, let me know and I will email them to you, once I have scanned them.

|Rich King||Harry William Crosby Find A Grave Memorial# 116725394|
Harry is my 1st cousin 4x.
I posted a 1921 U.S. Passport photo for Harry to the memorial.
I have a pending edit for POB. Harry was born Brockway Township, Stearns County, Minnesota - source - Stearns County, MN birth records. I can append a copy as a photo if you wish.
Record has his DOB as 24 May 1878 & Washington State Archives has his DOB as 25 May 1878.
He was quite an interesting person. He was a master mariner, tug boat captain, president of Crosby Direct Ferry Lines & Crosby Marine, & partner in an Alaska cannery.

|Jordan||RE: William Morrison|
William was born 1 January 1839, in Craig, Madderty, Perthshire, Scotland. He married Margaret Gregg on 12 June 1862, in South Leith, Scotland. They had six children. The eldest was William who lived to be 49 years old and immigrated to NSW, Australia. The other children were Robert (died at 1 mo. 13 days), Ivie (died at 21 years, 2 days), Robert (died at 5 mos 6 days), James (also died at 5 mos. 6 days), and Margaret (died at 16 days). William lived in Hawick, Scotland where he was Superintendent of Police, and Procurator-Fiscal for the burgh (1868-1878), Magistrate (1884-1891), and proprietor of "Hawick Advertiser" (1876-1890). For many years he was a member of Hawick Parochial Board, Hawick School Board, St. James' Lodge of Freemasons, and an ardent supporter of the Common-Riding. In 1892, he was in Chico, Kipsap County, Washington, USA (just outside Seattle). The report said that Mr. Morrison fell off a log, injuring himself so severely that he was unable to reach the house. One of his neighbors heard his calling for help, and found him lying at the side of the log. They carried him to the house and he died at nine o'clock in the evening on 3 August 1892. He was interred by the Freemasons of Seattle on the 5th. His wife was still in Hawick, Scotland.
I have copies of the original newspaper clipping from Seattle and from Scotland but I can't put my finger on them right this minute. He had a brother, John Morrison who died in 1925 in Seattle at the Kenney Presbyterian Home. He had a sister, Helen Morrison, who died in Seattle in 1931 at the Kenney Presbyterian Home. He had a brother, Andrew Morrison, who died in Seattle on 8 March 1821. Andrew is buried in the Evergreen Washelli Memorial Park. The last three never married. You wouldn't happen to know what the Kenney Presbyterian Home did with their dead do you?
