My maternal grandfather died when I was about nine. I kept seeing gravestones and the actual information on them. Those images kept spooking me when falling asleep. Now I photograph memorials as a Find a Grave volunteer. Cemeteries have sculpture that is only affected by weather. See this fasinating video clip about the Chicago Cemetery Lady, Helen Sclair and Lincoln Park Cemetery. http://video.wttw.com/video/1371687619/ All your thanks and appreciations are welcomed and also appreciated in advance. | RE: Winand Charles Thank you for that bit of information about the name of the All Saints cemetery. I was not aware of that. | | | Bud Frohn
 | Winand Charles "Win" Buettgen, III Thank you very much for the photo of his headstone in the All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines. You also posted a picture of a manument. Does the monument have anything to do with Winand? I really appreciate you time and effort in doing this. | | | Leilani

 | thank you again! Hello there! Thanks for the message about Herbert Ley. I am not sure if this is the person I'm seeking. I have his death date in 1975. How do you get to the data kiosk? Thanks, Maria | | | Maria and Jim Adam

 | RE: thank you very much! I'm so sorry! I didn't think about that. I really am. I can take off the pictures and you could put them on if you want. It's just that I got really excited when I saw the tombstone with all of those people listed on it. Then I was on a ancestor chase trying to figure them out. I had them in my genealogy program with incomplete information and just got crazy. I'm sorry! I really am. I appreciate your sending the plot information but I've had to work and haven't had the chance to add all of it yet. Right now I'm trying to figure out if Catherine's husband, Hubert Felix Ley is buried in that cemetery. He died in 1975 in Fox Lake, Illinois. I'm not sure if he remarried. I'm trying to trace this little branch of my family who moved from northern Ohio to the Chicago area. Once again, I thank you and let me know if you want me to remove those pictures-I'd be more than happy to. Maria | | | Patti Podboy
 | RE: Walter & Mary Tuohy Don't feel bad, I also thought it was a typo when I first came across the name! It's Irish and this branch goes back to the 1870's so they kept the original spelling. I really expected Walter's monument to be more impressive after I read about all his accomplishments in the obit. | | | Patti Podboy
 | Eugene & Jean Lowery Thanks for the photos and the transfer of Eugene. Much appreciated! | | | | [View all messages...] |
